Charming little mom & pop restaurant. Decent prices with adequate food portions. I had the classic breakfast platter which I felt needed a little more seasoning but still good. The service was very friendly and fast. The table next to me left their plates full of food on the table, suggesting they didn't like it. Try it yourself and decide.

Honest review I decided to try it based on reviews. It was a waste of money. I saw on review breakfast tacos were good negative. I order three to try them all with egg w chorizo bacon and potato. Egg taste like frozen egg McDonald's type no flavor is not fresh eggs. Loaded with egg not much meat. Chorizo flavorless the green sauce had a weird taste, almost an expired taste. I will not return just bland flavorless tacos. I do not recommend it at all. It was so bad I threw it away. The only positive was the service the guy was very friendly and order was ready when I got there.

It was the reviews that I read here that encouraged me to order from here. This is supposed to be quesadillas, CLEARLY they were all lying… I have never in my life eaten quesadillas covered in sauce. Additionally the tortilla itself literally tasted like it hadn’t been toasted at all. The beef wasn't fajita meat, it looks and tasted like it was boiled. I also ordered a fruit water, I wasn't expecting to receive coconut water maybe a melon water, watermelon water, cantaloupe water but not coconut water, I HATE COCONUTS! ????‍♀️

I’m not one to write reviews but I visited this place for lunch, around this area it’s very difficult to find authentic Mexican food, hence the bad reviews that are probably left by yt people who’s definition of Mexican is Tex-mex.The food was amazing, aguas frescas are made fresh, but the best part was the service. As soon as you walk in you’re treated like family. The complementary soup was creamy and full of flavor, chilaquiles reminded me of my moms cooking, unbeatable, not to mention the portions were incredible for the price. To top it off, I was given a complimentary tres leches slice of cake. I forgot to get his name but the gentleman that attended me was so great. I 100% recommend this place if you’re ever in the area and wanting real authentic Mexican food.

We've been driving past this place for years! We finally decided to stop for breakfast one morning and OMG why did we wait so long? This is the real deal Mexican food stop, not Tex Mex. Authentic mexican food, small and quaint and just delicious! We've been back already and will continue to go back. The chilaquiles is out of this world! So are the Tortas and wait Chocolate Tres Leches is to die for!!!

Tacos were good but wife's A la Mexicana taco used cilantro instead of jalapeno. Not a proper substitution.

Great food, we loved the huge variety of fresh juices... Lots of pulp, like it was just juiced. We were there for about 2 hours visiting and eating and there was no pressure to move along. They even brought out a treat.

Literally the only Mexican food I have ate in the Houston area that felt authentic! Great job!

This was my first time trying Raizes and it will not be my last. When we walked in we were greeted and treated like family. The food taste great and prices are reasonable. They gave us a complimentary soup that was delish and so was the tres leches.

The service was slow but they were very friendly. Majority of the people coming in seemed to be picking up to go orders. The food was good though. I had huevos ranchers. Their salsa was different but def good. My husband had pork chop plate. It had chorizo on top. That was something we had never seen but he said it paired well with the pork chop.
