Every time I get the urge for tex mex food I go to Brenda's. We usually go early to avoid the crouds and get a booth far from other guests. There is a pandemic going on as some of us know. The refried beans are the best. Great value for the peso. They are happy to turn the music down if I ask, the seats are cushioned. I have lost much of my personal cushions so I tend to select restaurants with comfortable seats.
Bad, really bad service, rude waitress (cuban lady, and I'm sorry to talk about nationally but is just for reference), she complained for everything, why we're been setting to far, my daughters order a Strawberry Shake and 20 min later she's just said sorry but they have to choose something different because she's so busy, our food came 30 min later, and really I didn't want to confronted her because we're celebrating Mother's Day with my wife and my kids.I understand that the waitress works under a lot a pressure but if you want to do a job no matter which one, you have to make sure that you are ready for this challenge and the best aptitude to do it, andAlso she charged the gratitude tip when didn't give us a good service, I been tipping better all the time when they deserved.
The manager was rude. There is a sign as you walk in that says wait to be seated. The manager approached me and seat sit sit what are you wanting for. When I told him about the sign he said that's just for dinner. HOW WAS I TO KNOW THAT. I was brought over salsa but no chips to eat them. When asked they said they were out of chips. They had corn tortillas but couldn't make chips. I will not be back.
We Doordashed this restaurant and was beyond disappointed. We asked for flour tortillas but we got corn instead the beans were bean juice... No beans whatsoever. My enchiladas were the worst. I had never seen anything like this before. I will never order or visit from here again.
Fairly new spot . It was nice on the inside and very clean . Looking forward to visiting this place frequently. The fajita and chicken tacos were great. The margarita was pretty tasty and one got the job done. Great atmosphere and i assume they have bands play on certain days which music food and drinks is always a great mix.
I really like this place. Very low key and infancy. Food is good... especially the street tacos. Server was great. I asked if the music could be turned down a bit so we could hear each other talk and they actually did!
I’m from louisiana and eat mexican food almost every day. I’ve tried a bunch of places in Sugarland but it’s always different variations of the same texmex menu. but THIS PLACE IS DIFFERENT AND SO GOOD. like seriously it tastes just like the best mexican restaurants in new orleans! I got the steak enchiladas and they were the best i’ve ever had. in my entire life. period. I was hesitant because of the lower reviews but the service was amazing, everyone was so nice and helpful and the food just blew me away. don’t listen to the bad reviews. Give this place a chance, you won’t regret it!
Decided to give this place another chance and another disappointment. We ordered our food and when we recieved it my plate was cold. I took like 2 bites of the enchiladas and was disappointment. I called our waiter Irma I beliwas her name and she pretty much made me sound like a lier. And I sister the food was hot coming ostraight from burner. Never ever again. Horrible customer service.
I gave this place a try today. The food was very good. The salsa and chips are really good. I had the Carne Asada a la Parilla and it was delicious. The meat was better than I expected. Also, my beans, rice and avocado was very tasty. My son had fajita tacos and he devoured them. The staff was friendly and the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, seating is comfy and lots of space for larger parties. I will definitely be returning soon.
Me and my friend gave this a shot despite the 3.8 stars. It was pretty good! Food could’ve came out a bit faster considering they weren’t busy. My super picky friend enjoyed the food, I loved my strawberry ? margarita, it caught up to me QUICK. Nachos were pretty good. Might have to try something else next time!
