Great place to go out to in the local Spring/99 area. I haven't been disappointed yet on food, service, or drinks everytime I've been a customer here. I recommend getting there before peak busyness if you're wanting to be seated quickly or somewhere specific. Seating larger parties at peak busyness may cause a wait before accomodations can be made - this is normal anywhere honestly. Smaller 2-4 member parties were seated almost immediately at 3:45 PM on a Saturday. The loudness wasn't bad at this hour, could socially talk without loudly talking.Woodson's has a wide variety of beers on tap (scan the QR code at the table for an up to date list). Food came out hot and as ordered. The Buffalo fries were spicy, but not kill your taste buds spicy. Adriana was an excellent server who was great! She was very friendly and always had our waters filled/ beers being ordered soon as she saw drinks getting low.I'll definitely be back to Woodson's!
Great atmosphere. Cold beer. The food is above average for a bar. I've tried a number of things but haven't found the entre I like. I might just go with a berger next time.Stay away from the Philly. They put queso all over it instead of real cheese. The fries and pretzels are great.
Woodson’s is a great local spot for food and drink. The food is good quality and better than your typical bar food. The price, service, and food quality turned us into weekly regulars. Some of our favorites are the Austin fries, fried mushrooms, the pretzel, catfish etouffee, and hamburgers. On the occasions that our burgers have been cooked for longer than we prefer they quickly made us a new burger.
My family and I love this place! Favorite place to eat and drink on this side of town! Honestly one of my favorite places to go to in all of Houston. Amazing food, beer, and the staff is helpful and friendly.

The waitress was very friendly and the over all experience was nice but the food was just average the fries were a bit too salty and the burger was kinda bland and dry and for the shrimp platter you get a good size portion for the price!
Picture this, I just graduated and I’m struggling with the job market. The sorrow and stress weigh heavy. I am lost and aimless. On pure chance my friends bring me to Woodson’s, and it changes everything. I walked in the door reeking of pain, but left with renewed life. The whiskey coke they got me on the house tasted like the motivation I’ve been desperately needing. Tenee, the bar tender, had the atmosphere more full of life than the most beautiful wedding. Every well timed joke would turn a priest into an alcoholic. Laughter and cheer echoed throughout the bar and made the buffalo fries taste like finest thing I’ve ever had. Any time I need to revitalize my life I’ll come here to feel life flow again.
the food is amazing. the beer is cold. kid friendly. overall a great place.
Today I put together a reunion for some of my friends/coworkers. We have not seen each other in years. I choose Woodson’s off Riley Fuzzel because it was close to where most of us live. The patio is amazing and it fit all 20 of us. The food is excellent! I want to give a special shout out to our waitress Heather Parker! She was phenomenal and very patient with us! Thank you Woodson’s and Heather!
1488 location has horrible service and rude bartenders. Will not be back. Sat with an empty glass for over 20 mins trying to get a beer.
