We stopped in Puffabelly's Old Depot Restaurant in old town Spring (100 Main St, Spring, TX 77373) for dinner. It was our first time eating here. The food was very good. I really liked the chicken fried steak burger and the onion rings were delicious. Looking forward to coming back soon.
I had very pleasant experience. The night I was there was there 'Open Mic' night.... The wait staff was helpful with house specialty menu items. I went with the large chicken fried steak, mac & cheese, & homestyle green beans w/ green beans like my grandma used to make, along with a #Spindletap #HoustonHaze... the chicken fried steak batter to meat portions were spot-on and delicious. The sides were equally delicious and look forward to trying their other offerings.
Good food and a nice old town spring vibe. A lot of history at this place. Catfish, burgers, and chicken fried steak kind of place. Service is great!
Puffabelly's is the best place for lunch if you're a rail fan and love fresh, delicious cheeseburgers. I love to see the trains pass by when I'm here. The burger is very filling so I took the cobbler home. ? After eating I like to sit on the porch.
Everything we got was delicious, decent size portions, good prices, waitress was friendly and on the ball.
First time here. Is an interesting place located in an old railroad depot right next to the active train tracks. Watched several trains go by. Would have liked to be here when there is live music. The food (chicken fried chicken and chicken fingers) was really good. Service was ok. Price was what was expected but everything is getting expensive. Very good parking being in the tourist section of town. I would go back again.
Good daily specials. Had catfish and shrimp which was good. The honey mustard dressing for salad was exceptional. Fried pickles were light and crispy. Delicious. Service was great.
Ordered the Frito pie and fried pickles with the green tomatoes. Had to put that together yourself. Had I known that, would have saved my money and made it at home. The fried pickles-tomatoes were greasy and dripping with oil. Could not believe how bad it was. I hope the rest of the menu is better.
First time here & the food was great. The staff was genuinely friendly. The restaurant definitely fits with the Old Town Spring vibes. I will definitely bring my family back. Only issue is parking sucks
The staff was absolutely wonderful. The food was okay. It lacked flavor in the gravy and vegetables were bland. It has a fun atmosphere, however, it's not enough for us to return. Fun location and area.
