I was nearby the area and was craving some pho. I decided go pop in and check out this place since it had good reviews. I ordered my fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce and the P7 (pho with beef brisket and other beef slices, forgot what it is). i ordered the large one priced at 10.99. the broth tasted authentically good, with good amount of meats in it. I quite enjoyed it. the spring rolls were fresh, peanut sauce tasted right. i came in right when they opened so i was their first customer. didn’t think i’d get fast service but i did! The service was quick and friendly. The server (teenage kid with curly hair and probably the owner (asian woman) seemed both kind and approachable. The server was also on his feet making sure the tables are cleaned and prepped. it is a restaurant on the smaller side, so it might be difficult to find seating during lunch or dinner times. All items seemed reasonably priced and i spent about $16 for both items I ordered. I didn’t get to try other items on the menu but i will be back for sure!
Love the food at this place. It’s delicious. However, the way the store owner treats the employees is sad.First off, the employees ( waitress and waiters ) do not get ANY tips. I know this because I am friends with two of the employees and I am a former employee. They get 0% of all tips ( electronic and cash ) The store owner will make the employees ( some are under 18 ) work 11 hour shifts with no overtime pay and no breaks. Just remember, when you tip this place 100% of it goes directly to the manager. The waitresses and waiters work extremely hard, as I know how stressful it got working at this small place, when it is so popular. There were many times we had to put customers a seat at Marco’s, and do 30+ people at a time with one 1-2 waiters/waitresses in total. It is a standard practices at restaurants for the waitresses and waiters to be given atleast some of the tips. And it is baffling how they get away with these practices. You can decide whether or not to support this place, but my suggestion is to move on to a different pho restaurant.
Food is pretty good here but this place is so small and very claustrophobic. Seats are so close together it so uncomfortable.
Great food and awesome service, would definitely come here again!
What is this!? We’ve eaten here a few times before but very disappointed today. One leaf for one egg roll & the sauce is watered down.
Wow, first time here. I been meaning to stop by as I watch them about to open and FINALLY I did. Tried the PHO and egg rolls. Wonder if they will ever consider pistachio flavor for one of their smoothies. YUM. Wish I would have took a picture but will definitely be back.
The broth for the pho was bland, we could not taste any of the cinnamon, star anise, cloves,, ginger or onions.. it tasted like American chicken broth,, ewww. Peanut sauce was too salty, just peanuts and soy sauce. They hardly give you any herbs for the pho. And I had their Bahn mi, one sprig of cilantro, and tiny slivers of cucumber and jalapeño. The only thing with flavor was the meat. I had to get up and cancel the lo mein to go once I tasted how bland the food was.
The food is great and the service is awesome but somehow I always feel like they are a bit cheap with the sauces and stuff!! I mean that’s what I got with my 6 piece dumpling order!?! Come on Guys!!
I dig things here. The staff is nice and helpful. The food has been tasty and freshly prepared each time. Big fan of the coconut drink. They are new and next to Marcos Pizza. Give them a shot! Prices are reasonable. Less than 20 a person with a specialty drink. (Closed on mondays.)
We loved it! The food was so good! And there was really good service from the waitress, and the people working there.
