Pastel Gourmet located on Cypresswood at the intersection of Stuebner Airline, next to the Shell gas station.Pastel Gourmet has been in operation since 2015. But I'm going to tell you that I have been to the Shell gas station and never new that Pastel Gourmet was open. My loss. This is predominantly carryout, with 5-6 small tables. The food offerings are based on Venezuelan basis and flair.Beginning with delicious Arepas with filling choices of ham, cheese, beef, black beans, fried plantains, pulled pork or scrambled eggs.Cornmeal or wheat flour empanadas with the same filling choices.Pastries that are lunch base or with dessert fillings.A nice array of hot or cold coffees are available.Today I ordered the Pabellon Arepas - deep fried cornmeal cake filled with tender shredded beef, sweet fried plantains, black beans and deliciously melted white cheese. This is not a snack, this is a full fledged sandwich- but you will need a fork and knife because these are overfilled.I had the Cafe Marron- a 70% coffee from the "little coffee plant" plus 30% milk based froth. This is a strong, dark coffee.I loved the Cafe Marron.Truly like this little cafe. The staff is extra friendly. Go discover this Venezuelan gem!!!
Bought cheap gas the other day was 3.49 so i fill every time i find a deal this was shell i get .5 cents off for shell rewards so it dropped to 3.44
Good Venezuelan food. A little expensive, but it’s because doesn’t exist competence.
The service is great, and the choice of pastries are plentiful, sweet or savory.
Their fried empanadas are definitely better with a fluffier breading than their baked ones. It also comes with a tasty green sauce. However, their rice dish is very small and not worth it. I would just come back for the fried empanadas
Wanted To Try This Place.! I Ordered - Pabellon Empanada, Corn Bites (5), Cafe con Leche, Chocolate Cake..Green Sauce came along with the Empanada and Corn Bites. I Dined In..I Loved Everything Except The Chocolate Cake, which I ended getting To Go. The Cake Was Dry and Definitely Not Moist. I tried putting the spoon to take a bite but struggled. I only took a small bite. The cake had good flavor and the Frosting was fresh Except the cake. I know they keep it in a refrigerated Glass Area but it wasn't that. It was just not Fresh. Am Pretty Sure When Fresh Is Probably Delicious ?..I Ended Up Spending $25. Restaurant is Very Clean and Cozy. Customer Service Was On Point.
Tasty food but everything is overpriced. $7 for a Pabellon Empanada that wasn’t made at the moment.
Great place to sample authentic Venezuelan food. We enjoyed a Pabellón plate.
Good fresh food, with healthy options
Been stopping here for years I have no problems the gas has been always good I've never had a problem at this station
