Was our first time here,my wife and I. We really liked the food, all of the food was bigger/thicker than we expected. Compared to what we had in our previous times at other restaurant places,we are going to come back later on. We recommend this place for everyone.
Went to the diner today and had a problem, while waiting for our food noticed one of the employees cleaning. She moved the the large seats on the window side and started sweeping and created a dust storm another couple complained and she stop but when she left 2 ROACHES was spotted crawling alone the window....we called our waitress and told her we were leaving because of the ROACHES. She said ok and walked away.
What can I say!!!! My husband and I absolutely enjoyed having breakfast at this place. Everything was super fresh. Definitely coming back.
Breakfast with my favorite guys ....The bacon was cooked just like I like ~PRETTY~ Evenly cooked. The grits were just right . Not too runny or dry. Wasn't a fan of the potato with onion & cheese~ and they even charge upcharge for that . So not worth it. Stick with the hash browns.Enjoyed breakfast and the service.
My second time going to this diner and both times the food was great. I love the decor of the place, it gives a 1950's vibe with Marilyn Monroe paints on the walls and oldie music playing in the background. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The best thing is the food which is a mixture of Mexican and American cuisine.
Renovated and the food has been great!! Worth a visit!
Really enjoyed our meal at the i45 diner. We had what I would classify as comfort food. Nachos supreme for an appetizer, tasty. For the entree I had the southwest pork chops which I would definitely have again. For the vegetables I had fried green beans and okra which I really enjoyed. The wife had a plate of chicken tenders which she enjoyed and both of my sons had hamburgers. Everyone left satisfied and happy with their meals.
AMAZING, and dirt cheap. I-45 Diner puts a certain nearby chain to shame.I've wanted to visit since moving to the Houston area in 2018, but never got around to trying them until my goddaughter brought some home a few weeks ago. Up early with errands to run, I ordered hash browns and bacon over the phone and went in to pick it up.I-45 Diner is at the leading edge of the strip mall on the corner of 45 and Cypresswood, in front of Topgolf and facing Spring High. Walking in, I was briefly taken aback at how massive the space is, that a guy rudely (typical of the area) told me to close the door from the cold...I then proceeded to reopen the door to fidget with my car keys because I'm a troll of epic proportions.Back to the restaurant, my order was waiting at checkout in the back of the dining room in a back and a white to-go box--shredded hash browns and two strips of bacon fried to perfection for only $7. Hot and fresh, I stuffed my face in my vehicle after gesturing that guy on the way out. This is an amazing facility—truly an old-school diner that was good and packed at 9:00 in the morning. I'll definitely return to I-45 Diner to try more items.
This was my first time here. Seated quickly, service was with a smile. The establishment was clean and the food was out in a timely manner considering we had a party of six. The food was great, I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. I have to say, my dish was very good. Tried the pot roast omelet, that was good, peppers and onions cooked into the eggs. Biscuits and gravey were delicious. Only draw back to me was they automatically added gratuity to the check. I usually tip well and appreciate the option. Other than that, great spot for some filling breakfast.
Food has never disappointed, great portions and taste. Only thing is the most recent lack of waiters. The other night there was only 1 waitress covering the floor, but she did her best. Most food industry locations are low on help, so I know it's not a usual thing. Again, great food!
