I wanted to try this place since I raved about it to others to try. Well I had the blackened turkey salad, I had more dried bacon chunks than the actual turkey. The turkey was sliced so thin like it was pulled out of a pack of lunch meat, the bacon was thicker. Then it says it comes with their homemade ranch, well it tasted more like a vinaigrette it was plum colored. I must had been given the wrong dressing. I may not be coming back. On another note the vegetables was fresh.

You order at the counter, food comes in to-go containers. The Boudin Balls, with gooey cheese inside were delicious! My wife had the crawfish and spinach bread bowl, which was vary good. I had the smothered chicken with cabbage and corn. I had a cup of gumbo, which was pretty good, lots of sausage and chicken, and rice. Almost everything needed salt.Except! the chicken skin cracklin’s, which were AMAZING!

This is a friendly, little Cajun restaurant in Old Town Spring. I had the Fried Catfish Platter, but I asked them to grill instead of frying the catfish and they did. It was great! My daughter had the Gator On A Stick. She enjoyed it and she ate most of my fries. If you are in Old Town Spring then you need to visit the House of Roux. It good Cajun food, at a good price, with a family atmosphere. One of the best dinner spots in Old Town Spring.

We travel to New Orleans often, and this is still, by far, the best Cajun food I have ever had.

Tried this restaurant today for lunch. I had the lemonade Moscato and it was so delicious and refreshing. Outside seating area is lovely and the food and service were great. We will definitely be returning.

I don't want to be too harsh, the owners and staff are very nice, thos is not a review on them...I have tried their Boudin balls [delish] but this time they were outSo I got Beignet's 6 for $8.99)Red beans and rice with 1 cornbread and coleslaw 16.99I guess it is a decent portion but it still seemed a bit priceyAlso be mindful the wait can be long , I ordered mine to go and it was about 45 minutes.. there was only one girl working register, taking orders and working tables..I don't know if that is normal, it seemed another person would have been helpfulOutdoor patio as wellThe Red beans and rice was fine, coleslaw a bit vinegary

Got there at 1:00 pm. Service was slow. No others seated in restaurant. Lunch special was only available for one person because they were out of crawfish. Really? Food was very salty to the point of unable to eat it and reported it manager and she blew us off and told us there was nothing she could do about it. The opinion of our table of 6 upset the owner. Food was served in styrofoam and the lids when opened knocked over drinks. Will not return.

Fabulous surprise to find authentic Cajun food and atmosphere far from Louisiana. Po-boys bread was traditional New Orleans bread and delicious. I forgot to take a before picture of the custom poboy….excitement!!

Nice surprise to find authentic, delicious Cajun food and atmosphere. Poboy bread is traditional New Orleans style bread.

Love this Place! Gumbo & Boudin Balls were Delicious!
