We had the chaparro mixed platter , chunky guacamole. Platter was not what to expect for a $89.99 dish. Meat totally dry and overcooked. The bowl with beans contained 5 (yes we counted it) beans. It took them 23 minutes to serve a beer. Water had a slight chemical taste. Waitress complained about too less tip and insisted rude on at least 18% tip. We had been here many times before but won’t go anymore.
This is my new favorite Tex-Mex place in the NW Houston area!! We used to love going to Los Cucos, but they aren’t as good as they used to be. Pappasito’s raised their prices and now doesn’t seem as worth it. We came here to El Chaparro and were blown away by the service, food quality, and just overall experience. The nachos were awesome, the chips and salsa were also amazing, and our waiter was super friendly and helpful. We’ll be coming back here every time we visit Houston!
Ate here on Cinco de Mayo. I loved all the decorations they had inside! The green dip that they bring out with their chips was so good, I asked for another one! Also, their Seafood Enchiladas are the best! Amazing staff and a good time! Would come back here again.
Food is pretty good, service was pretty lackadaisical. Everybody's entitled to an off night but with so many other good Mexican places in the area, this one's not at the top of my list. Excellent chicken mole enchiladas, though.
First time but not the last. Food was terrific & the margaritas were on point. The wait staff was very friendly & engaging. High marks all around.
We’ve been going here since everyone reopened during the pandemic. Tonight was our first disappointment with service. Understanding the current challenges with getting employees, we’ve been very patient. Tonight stretched that. Our server took our drink order, which did not appear until after our meal as served. We had to ask other staff because he never came to check. Our appetizer came with our meal instead of before. We will be back because the food is good, though we do hope the servers get more training. Difficult times for all businesses.
I was invited to El Chaparro Mexican Bar and Grill in Spring on 20444 Kuykendahl Rd Suite A, Spring, TX 77379, we had the fried avocado and the fajita and shrimp combo. It was delicious and the staff was friendly and kept our drinks full.
Had a great evening dinner with my family.Orders ranged from puffy tacos, tamales, chicken enchiladas and, yes, even breakfast of Huevos Rancheros. Thanks to El Chaparral Mexican Restaurant on Gosling just east of Kuykendahl. The chips were crispy and salsas we're good and not to spicy. Thanks for a great dinner. We'll be back!!!
Great service, great vibes, and just good, fresh tasting food. We'll seasoned, no need to add more. Has become one of my go to places. Lunch specials for the cheap folks..lol..overall a great bargain for the quality you receive
Both soft and crunchy tacos were soggy. Had to eat them with a fork because the tortillas fell apart. My husband's meal had a hair in it. The restaurant replaced the meal and gave him a free top shelf margarita to go, but we won't return.
