The location in Klein offers Sunday buffets but truthfully should give up. they are not equipped to keep up with any kind of rush and u sit there waiting hoping to get anything as they put pizzas out 1 at a time. this time they never once added pizza rolls either. couldn't even have salad cuz it was empty also. last time I give them my business.
I love Double Dave’s. Margherita Pizza with thin crust and extra basil is our go-to, but their regular crust pepperoni is very very good, too. We have enjoyed the one in Huntsville where we get carry out, and the one in Webster TX when we used to reside there a couple years ago. Our family has not tried any other items but pizza and the pepperoni filled bread sticks, so we cannot comment on any other menu items.They answer quickly, courteously and confirm your exact order when placed. They label the box as non recyclable, which I respect since I recycle. I notice a cooler with to-go wine and beer, sodas, etc. The dine in area is quite large and comfortable. Some staff are family members while others appear to be high functioning special needs younger adults, which I also appreciate. The location is north Huntsville. Delivery is available. I highly recommend this place for a real good pizza! Prices are reasonable and sizes are generous.
Unfortunately couldn’t enjoy our food. The Stromboli dough was still raw.Update. I reached out to the email address they provided. But they never emailed me back.
Pizza place buffet style. Went for a Sat lunch with 4 adults snd 3 children. The pizza was not great but the bathrooms were terrible. Out of TPand people were using paper towels that clogged up the toilets. The condition of the lavatories is your clue to the healthiness of the food, the tables, utensils, the kitchen, and the staff people working. Will not return. Do not recommend. Avoid this place. Even had a retarded guy bussing tables as people with an IQ above 70 will not work there. Sad.
I'm given 4 stars because because lately the last 3 or 4 times I have been here for the pizza buffet, I usually end up waiting 10 or 15 minutes for pizza to come out. Even when they're not that busy. The pizza is tasty and the value is great! Family of 4 with 2 kids eats for less than $40 AYCE pizza!
This place has a great, family-owned vibe. The staff is friendly and courteous and the pizza’s are tasty. I look forward to the specialty pizzas!
Aside from the joking reviews that have been posted recently, this Double Daves location is honestly disgusting. I have absolutely nothing against the Double Daves franchise or any of the other stores, which are all amazingly run (especially the new braunfels store, the owner is an extremely friendly and funny guy who makes you feel right at home). That being said, the Klein Double Daves and its owners are both terrible. The kitchen constantly looks disgusting with spots of mold being able to be seen if truly looking into the kitchen, the dining room is constantly never cleaned and the food never truly comes out on time. Along with the disgusting interior of the restaurant, if you happen to be there when the owners are there you can occasionally hear them yelling at, and belittling their employees. The appalling and disgraceful actions committed by the Double Daves owners at the Moo House Cafe towards the employees there is unacceptable. What makes it worse is the blatant attempts at excusing their actions within their own comments on the Facebook post, when in reality they should know as small business owners what it is like to deal with customers who acted like they did, and yet they still lashed out at the employees at Moo House Cafe. With all that being said, I do not have a problem with any of the other double daves locations or any of their owners. Please do not go to or continue to go to the Klein Double Daves and support them after this incident that occurred.
*Update:After a comment left on the corporate website, I was immediately contacted by someone from this local franchise. The situation was better explained to me as a low supply issue of the cheese used, after they had to fill a large catering order. The email also ordered a credit of 6 rolls. I really appreciate the prompt attention and response! We’ll be back after all!*Original PostBeing Aggies, we couldn’t wait to drive the 30 minutes to our nearest Double Dave’s to enjoy the buffet after our recent win against Alabama. Imagine our dismay when we were informed that pepperoni rolls are “too tedious” to serve on their buffet. WTH?!?!? We have been eating Double Dave’s buffets WITH pepperoni rolls for the past 30 years, and this is the ONLY time we have ever had this experience. This location has a very poor business plan. Now we know why it was pretty much empty.
The service here was horrible this was my 1st and last time that I will be visiting. I place my order online for pick up hoping it would be ready when I arrived, however, after getting there I was told it would be 10 minutes before my order would be ready I waited nearly 30 minutes no one ever called me to let me know the order was ready I was sitting right in front of them. I finally asked about the order it was sitting there ready and it was actually cold. After spending $30 and 30 minutes of waiting the food was not even good, it was cold. I will not be returning back
Today the service was appalling. I requested a pizza when I paid for my buffet upon entering and like my previous several visits, it was not made nor even placed. I also noted that employees are not too keen in practicing proper hygienic food handling protocol. I saw several employees tendering payments and immediately handling or preparing food and pizza without even bothering to wash their hands. After I left I called and spoke to a lady that claims she is THE restaurant manager. Her habits are egregious as I saw her several times vigorously scratching her head today and previous visits without washing her hands and immediately prepping dough and making pizza. Even casually scratching during the whole process of preparation. I will submit a complaint to the Health Department as well.
