Great place

Great place

We had dinner at Creole Gold last night and I can't say one bad thing!! Not only is the food like being at home in LA but the hospitality is even better...just like true LA love, it's try this and this and this!!! Definitely made me feel like I was home!!

Hands down one of the best food trucks I've ever been to. From the amazing crawfish to the poutine fries...everything was absolutely delicious! Make sure you try this place...you won't be disappointed!

Crawfish season is here, and I'm so glad I found Creole Gold. I had a craving a few weeks ago and ended up getting some cooked at one of the local grocery stores. It was OK, but just, well, OK. Visited Creole Gold last week (and today) and won't settle for the grocery store pop-up again!!! Their crawfish was a good size and had great flavor. Maybe it's the freshness of the crawfish, but you can taste a little of the water they came from (that's a good thing)...actually tastes like seafood. It's seasoned perfectly with enough kick to let you know it's there, but not so much as to put you in pain. It had a nice build of spicy that by the 4th one, I could feel a nice tingle on my lips. Some places around here seem to think there's a competition on making it as hot and unbearable as possible. This crawfish also had flavor IN the meat. They don't sprinkle the seasoning on top of the crawfish, but when you suck the head and eat the tail meat, it's inside, not just covering the shell. Corn and potatoes were included and also had good seasoning. Corn was sweet and had a touch of spice. They have other options (Jambalaya, Catfish, Gumbo, etc.) and the bread pudding is ridiculously good. They take their show on the road every once in a while, so check their calendar to make sure they’re at the spot before you come. Oh, crawfish was $6/lb the day I visited. I think it may vary during the season.

Jambalaya, Gumbo, Catfish, Fried Shrimp Po-boy, crawfish cheese sauce, Boudin and Red Beans & Rice. Everything has been fresh, tasty and generally out-of-this-world good. I'm intent on trying everything on the menu and making pretty good progress in my mission. Some of the best Creole / Cajun food that I've ever had.

Damn, that Gumbo is Delicious! So much meat and the broth is tasty not too spicy, good amount of salt, and great creaminess. We got Boudain too and it's the best Boudain I've had in a long while.

Excellent étouffée and bread pudding! Good amount of heat and the buttercream rum topping on the bread pudding was a great topper. Had to get some to take home to the husband.
