This was my 1st visit to Cormier's. Don't let the casual atmosphere fool you - my meal was delicious!!! I ordered The Mitch and it was fabulous! The crab cake was light with great flavor, shrimp were tender and not overcooked. The lemon, caper butter sauce was just right and everything went superbly on the bed of tasty rice! Will definitely be back soon!
The food was ok but the service wasn't that great seems like you will definitely get better service if you are a regular customer (even shots on the house) than if you only go there once in a while sadly I might have become a regular customer is the service was the same for everyone. And this was the place that I picked to start celebrating something special ?
So I ordered 3 lbs of crawfish and 1 pound of boiled shrimp. It was good, not fabulous, however when I asked for the check and to go boxes I was told I'm not allowed to bring home my crawfish? What? The most absurd thing I've ever heard. Didn't make a lick of sence. The waitress either was trying to make a joke, or the manager really doesn't let it happen. It makes me wonder, are they recycling the crawfish leftovers from table to table? Gross ?!
It has fantastic food and their week night specials are incredible. It is now our favorite place to eat.....?
Do not go here!! Worse owner ever. Let’s his staff of teenage girls get harassed by drunk old men and when they speak up he fires them.
Great food cool atmosphere and big portions!
UPDATE: while food and waitstaff remain the same, I am returning to include a recent experience. The owner insists on having 3 of the six person high-top tables kept open with reserved signs for “regulars”. On a busy Sunday, we were not allowed to be seated at these tables despite the fact that we frequent here several times a week. The hostess asked the manager if they could seat us there, he step over to see who she was asking about and said No! We were told we would have to wait 30-30 minutes while 3 tables sat empty. We left!ORIGINAL REVIEW: Solid breakfast menu offered 7 days a week, great lunch and dinner menus with daily specials offered as well. Daytime crew is very friendly and well trained. Covered patio seating is nice but the smokers come outside and stand next to this area so in the evenings it may not be as ideal, doesn’t seem to be as big of an issue during the daytime. There’s also a few seats at the bar available!
Cormier’s is my absolute go to spot for crawfish. They usually cook them just right, and during peak season they are quite big. It comes with a potato, corn, and sausage for for every two pounds you get. I seriously get excited for crawfish every time I come here. I’ve had a few other entrees, they do a great job with the food and pricing is very good. Good beer selection. Staff has always been very nice and fast, I’ve never had an issue. Plenty of TVs showing multiple sporting events. Simply just a great place to hang out and have some good eats/drinks.
I went on Tuesday where they have the $5 per pound for crawfish special. They were good. But they didn't purge them enough. They still have quite a bit of poop. But other than that they were great. 1 lb boiled shrimp they were good as well. A little tough maybe slightly overcooked but they tasted great. Neither one of those came with corn potato or sausage. Had to pay $0.75 each if I wanted it. I did
Our first visit and we were very pleased. She got the catfish platter and it's only two pieces of fish...HUGE pieces :)I got the Cajun shrimp over dirty rice and wow was that good.I'm from below the Intracoastal waterway in Lafourche Parish and I can tell you this is some good Cajun food. We'll be back for sure.We also gave their chips and salsa a try and those are really good too. Taste like they made the chips fresh.
