The service was great. We ordered egg rolls and crab rangoon cheese puffs. The egg rolls were hot and crispy, but the inside was bland. The puffs were great. We ordered beef in garlic sauce, Kung pao chicken, shrimp special, and chicken low mein. The beef and chicken dishes were smothered in sauces that weren't that great tasting and the protein was not seasoned well. The shrimp and low mein were very good.

The environment is near and clean. The atmosphere is good. The gentleman behind the counter was genuine.HOT & SOUR SOUP - when I have Chinese hot and sour soup is a must have. I asked to please make it spicy. I was told it's pre-made. To further disappoint me it had way to much vinegar and was extremely sour. And it was thick like 70 weight gravey. UNAPPEALING and the worst soup by far I have had.FRIED WONTON - WONTON is expensive and made to oder. Just a tip when you make to order the noodles are under cooked and still taste raw. They should aerate at lease 24hrs.BEEF w/ BAMBOO AND MUSHOOMS - was delicious. The perfect flavor and worth ordering. The meat was tender and the vegetables were crisp.

This not the first time I have eaten there. The staff makes you feel like you're home. The Chinese food is the best in the Woodlands. There Hot and sour is right on the money. The spicy sesame cold noodles is the best and I tried many different places in The Woodlands area and in Katy and chef's chan's is perfect. One of my favorite dishes is shredded pork with Peking sauce. The egg drop soup is one of my wife's favorites. The pork fried rice taste just like New York City Chinatown food many of the dishes on their menu have that New York City Chinatown taste if you're looking for good Chinese food and and this is the place to try I would say I start off with a bowl of hot and sour soup and have some of the pork fried dumplings and their shrimp toast is perfect also their Chinese style mustard reminds me of Chinatown mustard another great dish that I like is the shredded pork with garlic sauce it has just enough of pork and enough vegetables to balance the dish out

Got takeout here on Dec 25th. What a revelation this food was! We loved their sesame and orange chicken dishes. Is it the best stuff ever? Maybe not. Is it the perfect stuff to enjoy on a Friday, Saturday, or night off? Yes! It’s incredibly perfect in that respect. I will definitely be coming back. In fact, I must!

I used to LOVE this place. Moved out of the area and had not been back in a few years, until today. Was so excited to order the fried rice that I adored. $FIFTY dollars later, I was gagging on it. They changed everything; not the same fried rice recipe and the huge generous shrimp are replaced with smelly slimy popcorn shrimp. GROSS. It was disgusting. I will never go back. And I will let other people know they should avoid it as well. That's how it works.

Our food was gritty throughout the whole meal. Some black seasoning they used made it feel like sand in your mouth. Could not finish our (overpriced) meal.

Used to have the most amazing shrimp-fried rice around. The flavor was spot on and the shrimp were large and generous. Walked out with $50 takeout today - first time I had the chance to visit since leaving the area, and was shocked with the stench of the food and gagged on the slimy popcorn shrimp they are now using.

Pot stickers tasted spoiled, but they removed them from the ticket. Egg roll was delicious and General Tso's was ok.

Take out. I've never been so disappointed by Chef Chan's Restaurant, the happy family meal was so salty I was unable to eat it, tasted like the whole box was poured in. The shrimp toast looked and tasted like it had been cooked the night before and put in a heating basket dry and cold. I did call to let them know, the lady never even suggested they make it right. This has always been my go to for Chinese food guess I'll start looking for a new place. After going here for many year's not to mention this 1 meal being $30.00.

Very nice, peaceful place to eat. I come back as often as I can. Wonderful food. Thank you for your service. I am always pleased with the experience at Chef Chan’s! (:
