Hands down the best sushi in this part of town (Spring, Tomball, The Woodlands). I was worried when I moved up to North Houston that I wouldn’t have any good sushi, but Bloofin has been a saving grace. It is a bit on the pricier side, but they import their fish directly from Japan, so it’s always fresh. You 100% get what you pay for! I’ve ordered to-go about 5 times and finally tried dining in recently for the first time. Most dine in patrons do not wear masks, but there is hand sanitizer available by the front door.I ordered the fried calamari, amazing tuna roll, truffle salmon roll (daily special), and sushi combo b. Literally everything was good. Escolar in the amazing tuna roll was yummy! Truffle/salmon roll was unique, but the 2 flavors married well. Sushi combo b comes with an additional ginger miso salad and miso soup. The uni that comes in the combo b was buttery and did not have a briny taste at all! The barracuda pieces, however, did taste strong and brinier than expected. When I order to-go, my favorites are the crazy salmon and sky diver rolls!

It's my favorite sushi restaurant in the area.

Great service and great sushi

Super tasty, fresh and good quality sushi!!

Be prepared to drop some serious cash here, but it was very much worth it, in my humble opinion. Absolutely the best (albeit small portioned) tasting cod this pescatarian has ever tasted! The Sarada Salad was delightful. The Sushi rolls were quite good, even the “Monkey brains” were good. The miso soup had an uncommon depth of flavor. The lycheetini (haku vodka, sake, litchi) was lovely! Even their steamed white rice was absent the usual stickiness, and enjoyable. The waiter “Stephen” was helpful and descriptive of the various menu items and friendly and really elevated our enjoyment with his presence, and he did not bat an eye when I had to give up and ask for a fork due to my arthritis. (Sorry I had eaten most of the cod before I thought to get a picture, it was sooo good though!)

The restaurant had a very good looking website, which resulted in me having a very high expectation. Especially with all the good reviews I saw online, I was ready for a treat to myself. The food was average at best. I’m a Japanese cuisine lover, so I’ve tried many Japanese restaurants everywhere. I wouldn’t say Bloofin’s fish is not fresh, but somehow it’s lacking the elasticity and the natural sweetness. The rice is just a bit sad. We tried both the sushi rice and regular white rice. Both are on the harder and drier side. The chawamushi was nice and soft, unfortunately all the toppings where raw and just nicely placed on top of it. Usually, there should be some toppings inside the egg and cooked. Even the toppings on top served as garnish should be placed onto the egg once it’s hardened and let it steam for a bit more so that it’s not completely cold and raw when it enters your mouth. The salad that came with our lunch menu was good, but the dressing was a bit too salty. Regardless, our waiter gave excellent service.

Excellent sushi, very fresh. The calamari was superb and our chicken fried rice was also very well made. We didn't try the Nigri. The server was attentive but seemed a little clueless. He asked odd questions. But besides that he was always there when we needed him.The prices seemed reasonable and weren't over priced.Great restaurant and we will be frequenting it more often.

I had been wanting to try this place for a while now. I'm glad I did because it enjoyed my meal. I had the spicy miso ramen, which really surprised me by how good it was. It was just as good as some of the best ramen that I've tried around town. It just that the bowls are on the smaller side though, but still good.I also ordered the Naruto roll which is wrapped in cucumber instead of rice, so it's keto-friendly. It was ok, not the best sushi Roll I've had, but I would order it again. I would definitely come back for the ramen though.

This place is amazing. I ordered their special. Price vs quality, this place is a steal. Everything is so fresh and tasty. Service is great too. Satisfied guarantee.

I went recently for the first time. Ambience was very casual and personable. The servers were attentive and offered great suggestions. I tried the chirasi (picture attached) and let me tell you that was such a treat for the price. Plus got to try two new things (Sea Urchin and Salmon Roe) that I now love. I plan to come back and show friends this little spot.
