Excellent place! Very clean, brand new restaurant. Great food and great service. Will definitely be back! Great menu items as well.

I had high hopes for this place because it’s so close to our neighborhood. Here’s my honest opinion… the rolls were ok. The Shaggy Dog roll was actually pretty tasty. What really ruined the experience overall from the beginning was their ginger. Their ginger is very dry, lacking flavor, and honestly not good at all. If they changed that then this restaurant would be 3 star material. Akashi invest in better ginger.

Staff was prompt, polite, and very friendly. The chef also struck up a very pleasant yet brief conversation that made it feel more personal. All dishes were delectable and presented elegantly.

I walked in with a family of 3. They were seated right after me. There were two other tables seated about 10 minutes after I was seated. By the time the family of three was leaving I still did not have my food (sushi only). The other two tables also received their food still I have nothing. The excuse was that I ordered sushi. Well so did the family of three.I actually dine at this establishment often. I was just there two nights ago with a friend that was visiting from out of town.Poor customer service. I will NOT be dining at this establishment ever again.

The food was good but a bit pricy. The staff was polite and attentive. Not very remarkable but not a bad restaurant. May give it another try.

We go here frequently and have never been disappointed with the quality or service. They are always lightly booked with plenty of space. Food quality is excellent for a mainland restaurant. This is definitely worth a visit if you enjoy sushi. The beverages bring an extra special delight to the table with good mixed drinks and rice fermented treats. Definitely order the sumo roll??

I came here with my family this week upon my request, as I am thr only one that really likes sushi. My kids had the orange chicken and rice, which was a succes. My husband rarely eats sushi but said he will try. We are picky sushi eaters and only enjoy tuna, scallops, shrimp and crab mix. So she recommended the valentines roll and and mishu something *forgot the name. Wow it was SO fresh and delicious. I can't wait to go back and try more rolls.

Crazy amount of options! Sushi was pretty tasty. Tempura vegetables were good however the tempura chicken was a little bland in flavor. Still worthy of a repeat visit to try other items.

All the soup bowls have been dipped into a pot to retrieve the soup out. Had a mess going down the side. Soup was luke warm. All the streamed rice was cold. I think it was the because we was there about a hour and half before closing. They just didn't care. Pricing was too high for the service and food. Only a couple of both to seat. Mostly tables. Staff look like they are on edge for some reason. The two of the dishes that they gave us. Had good size chips. Almost half inch in size. First and last time for us. Going to Baos for now on.

Best sushi place in Houston hands down. We’ve tried many places since moving here 6 months ago and this place has become our favorite! Delicious sushi!
