The food selections were ample. Clean and nice atmosphere. Few dishes we ordered were good but not excellent. The Japanese Teriyaki dinner tasted very sweet and meant for local Americans taste bud. The waitress Annabell was very courteous and attentive to our orders and served us very well.
? Our first time, I believe we will be back soon! The quality of the dishes are very good, the presentation is beautiful! The atmosphere is super nice, modern and clean! The service is very kind and attentive! It is a great option in the area, for those who enjoy Japanese and Chinese food, as the menu has an option for both cuisines, this is great!!Thank our waiter for his kindness!
Wide variety of Asian dishes. Nice place. Service slow and no so good. But food was good, it's worth going to.
We went there to try a new sushi place. I didn’t realize it was a chain restaurant. Everything was covered in too much sauce. We figured out the sushi wasn’t very good so the sauce was there to cover it up. We will keep looking for a good sushi place.
Highly recommended. Best hot and sour soup I ever tasted. Top notch sushi
Inside is interesting and unique, a look at the ceiling shows how much detail and thought went into this place...I've been twice and have had the crab puffs and they were huge, perfectly cooked. Singapore noodles with mixed meats was a family favorite. General tsu chicken was all white meat the breading was crispy and well seasoned. Will definitely be back for the huge selection of rolls and sushi.
Slow service and drinks were just ok, but really good food! The custom vegetarian roll (sweet potato tempura, cream cheese, avocado) and the vegetable moo shu were amazing!
Update: Won't be returning, need to find another decent local fusion restaurant. I called the next day after the events below and the GM told me she would have comp'd us on next visit and would call me back after talking to the staff to see what happened. She didn't call me back. I ordered a few items today (2 days later) with a different phone and name to avoid having someone spit in my food. Wien I paid, I did claim the offer for the replacement roll. The GM said she was just about to call me... right. I didn't tip which is only marginally satisfying.Original: I’ve been going to Akashi for years now. We normally do take out for my family on Sundays. Today, I saw an unfortunate series of events, poor management and customer service. After picking up a $130 order, they forgot one entree. How did I find out? I just made it home and received a call. They said I could come back and pick it up, but zero apology. I asked to speak to a manager. Val answered with no apology. Her resolution was for me to come pick up the item ($7.95 + a 45 min drive roundtrip which was a no brainer, no. My whole family was waiting to eat). When I asked if she would offer extra to recover the tip or for my trouble, the answer was no.My expectation would be that Val should have offered $10 credit (at least). I like this place and always tip 20% on take-out but not anymore. I'll recover the cost to go back and the tip assuming I return.
We had a friendly and sociable waitress. The atmosphere is nice with good music and clean. Our food came out in a timely manner and was very delicious. We had mongolian beef with white rice and egg drop soup and egg roll. Another person had egg drop soup and salad along with unagi roll and a salmon avocado roll Delicious! Will get again and recommend.
I've ordered sushi rolls and the dinner option with shrimp and veggies. Both tasted fresh and delicious. The dinner comes with soup (I got the hot and sour - yum,) egg roll which I didn't try, a cream cheese crab thing that are always good, and your choice of entree. The shrimp was really big and had a lot of veggies, they didn't skimp out on anything. The sushi, however tasty, was 6(?) thin pieces for $10 and they would fall apart as i tried to pick them up. Over priced for the amount that you get imo.I do recommend eating here and im excited to try other dishes.
