Absolute favorite spot!!! We go every Friday night and we look forward to it every week. Javier and Hector at the bar are THE BEST!!!! The rest of the staff knows us as well and always stop by where we are sitting to say hello. Service is always great and food is delicious! We truly feel at home when we are here. We love our MiCo family!

Beautifully crafted food with superior service.

Javier has always been so good with serving. Meal is always right and he is always on top of refills! Love coming to mi cocina and having him as our waiter.

Our experience was actually pretty bad, as far as atmosphere, cleanliness, and food. Our server was just fine and I have no complaints about any staff. However, we went around 3pm; our menu was like 8 items, all different variations of the same thing. The salsa I swear was Tostidos, the chips were not fresh at all, also probably Tostidos, and the queso was Velveeta (it literally said Velveeta on the menu). We split a steak quesadilla, which was decent. But overall, would NOT go back and I don't recommend. I understand there are multiple of these throughout DFW, but I expected more from a Southlake restaurant.

Not sure what the raving reviews are all about . First the service is quite bad, the server did not know whats in the drinks .. also one of our dishes was fajita and all we got was steamed onions, potato wedges and steamed veggies and no salt as well. Never had fajita with potatoes wedges mixed with?... common guys this is Texas !!.... when we asked for some spicy salsa to flavor it the restaurant charged us for 2 small cups of spicy salsa. Also, not sure if this is even legal but we were charged sales tax and a separate line for alcohol tax .2 weeks after reaching out to the manager on their request and per below reply to this review, no one reached out to me ....

Service helpful and friendly if a little slow but it was a busy Friday night. They gave us plenty of good chips with decent salsa. I tried the Tacos De Pescado (tilapia tacos) which were excellent, enough flavor but spicy! A generous amount of both verde rice and avocado! Others ordered the chicken fajitas or enchiladas but everything was very good!

Have been to a couple other Mi Cocina restaurants in Fort Worth and Dallas, but first visit to this location. It is conveniently located in the heart of the Southlake restaurant and shopping area. We had friends from out of town who wanted a great TexMex experience. We selected Mi Cocina from several under consideration and wish we had chosen one of the others nearby. Started with a server who didn’t seem like he wanted to be there at all. Not helpful, just wanted orders and no questions. Two of us had average margaritas, my wife had a sangria that she said was pretty undrinkable (I took a sip and agree), and the other had a bottled beer. We started with the guacamole which was small for the price and lacked any real flavor, and the Queso Blanco which tasted a little like eating paste – no flavor at all. For meals I had El Ray’s and everything was overdone. My wife had the Flautitas de Pollo which were burnt, and the other couple each had one of the taco meals (I don’t remember which), but they left about half behind. All in all, nothing to recommend here at all. Will not return.

Everything is amazing. Their renovations are beautiful and calm colors. So many options on food and the spice is on point. John L our server was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Ask for him or Javair!

Went to this store last week after some shopping in south lake. I wanted some nice be vegetarian food, and typically head out to Mexican or Italian restaurants. Mi cocina showed up as a nice choice on google maps. It was busy as expected, but I was able to get a place at the bar counter. Ordered Latin stir fried vegetable fajitas along with my usual cranberry juice. Just perfectly fried, well prepared and presented fajitas. Loved the food and ambience both.

A real disappointment. My husband ordered brisket tacos which were bland and soggy. Rice was dry and tasteless. I had the fish which was just okay. I enjoy sangria and was genuinely excited when I noticed the menu had it listed as sangria with brandy. This was not sangria but a glass of wine overflowing with brandy. A true sangria is a mix of fresh fruit juices, a superb red wine, with a touch of brandy. We will not be back.
