Decent walk up Mexican food. The steak is mediocre at best. It's more of a fatty brisket than it is steak. The prices for everything on the menu are overpriced for a walk up and order type of place. I ordered steak quesadillas and paid $14.50 for a little quesadilla. The queso is also very expensive for the quality and taste. Won't be going back anytime soon.
First time ordering and I was very pleased. I had the "Avocados By Morning" breakfast plate which was delicious and filling. They have several different types of salsa and chips come with the meal, along with a free 16oz coffee or soft drink, wow! Reasonably priced, helpful staff, relaxed interior, good food and portions... I'll bring friends next time and eat in!
Ancho chicken bowl was a good portion and tasty. Would return.
Food and service are great, but maybe don't mop the restaurant when you have people eating. The smell of the chemicals are not conducive to an appetite and is why I only have my restaurant mopped in the morning before open and at night after we close.
Food was tasty. I ordered three tacos. I had chicken, steak, and shrimp and all three were good. The steak was the best, which is surprising for me. I normally prefer chicken and shrimp on my tacos. The best part of the experience was the service. It was my first time and I didn't know what to order at first. A young man behind the counter was patient with me and gave me good advice on things. His patience was appreciated. The biggest issue was the chicken taco was just a bit bland. Chicken is typically my go-to protein, however, it was my least favorite of the three.I feel Torchy's tacos have more flavor, but there is definitely more value when you consider you get refried beans and chips with dip that comes with the tacos.
This place used to be really great, especially the 3-pack of breakfast tacos for $6.50. In the past three years the prices have gone up about 50-75% based on the item, which is totally insane. It’s priced like a mid-priced restaurant now even though it is fast-casual.
I asked for the nacho bowl with the chips on the side ( the exact same thing the man in front of me ordered) the manager told the lady to give me the plastic black bowl which look like a child’s plate. So I asked him what does the guy in front of me have. He said a nacho bowl with the chips on the side… lol I said o can I have whatever he is having. By the way I was the only black woman. So you do the math. I won’t be coming back here. It’s obviously not safe for my race to be there. It’s just sad that’s it 2021 and the color of your skin is still a problem for most.Edit: I ordered a side of spicy ranch. They put the spicy ranch in the small kid bowl. Lol the same bowl they wanted to put my actual meal in. I uploaded a photo.
We went today for brunch and it was delicious! I had the egg and chorizo stuffed avocados and my wife had the Mexican breakfast. Our order came with tortillas and the corn is where it’s at. The manager was super friendly and helpful. The only tiny thing I would suggest is less salt on the tortilla chips. There was a lot. We will definitely be back.
Very spicy. Okay, so I usually eat pickled jalapeños by themselves, but the fresh pico was super spicy, even for me. I got the blackened tilapia and my husband got the avocado chicken enchiladas.
good food. great service.
