I was scared after reading the bad reviews, but I really liked my food. It wasn’t spectacular but I thought the portions were big and everything I had was tasty. Servers were friendly.
You’d think being familiar with an establishment would make you feel secure about your frequent visits. This is not the case. I physically got sick from their food. That never happened before. The staff was rude, too. It seemed as if the customers were an inconvenience & a bother to them while they were busy on their phones. I’ve lost trust in this establishment. I won’t be coming back.
Music was fun but the food was horrible...tex mex style bad Got back to condo and instantly threw up. Had fun with group but wouldn't recommend especially if you are looking for Mexican food ?
First three choices for Mexican food were apparently closed. So we said, “It’s hard to mess up Mexican food.” Wrong. You’d do better stopping off at a supermarket and picking up a TV dinner. Best thing was the refried beans. I’m a heavy eater, and I left most on the plate. Felt bad for the server, nice guy and not his fault. We’ve been to SPI numerous times and this is the only time we’ve struck out. Do yourself a favor and have some great seafood somewhere else. Wait until getting back to Austin for quality Mexican food, almost anywhere.
Absolutely delicious and purely authentic Mexican food. Family-friendly and very nice staff. We went to this place during the mad rush of Spring break but still the service and the quality was not compromised. There is a special drink recipe 'Micheladas' at the bar. Will visit again when we are in SPI next time.
The waitress was rude and acted annoyed by our questions regarding the food options. This place serves Mexican food as their main menu, yet the waitress said it will be extra for hot sauce. Only about 1oz of hot sauce comes with your plate, we felt rushed the entire time.
Friendly employees. Food was prepared with fresh ingredients, but everything we had was flavorless. Even the taco meat had no flavor. The chips and salsa were good, but the salsa was more of a queso than a salsa. The pina colada and Margarita were good. This is the only restaurant on South Padre that added on an 18% service fee for a party of seven. Strange that their plastic margarita cups were from a restaurant called Dirty Al's.
Great place, friendly staff, and Adamaris was a wonderful server. Love the margaritas!
Been years since I have eaten here. Food and margaritas were AMAZING, they have the BEST SALSA AROUND and Adamaris is the best sever! ?
We only went once. The food was good, atmosphere had a bit to be desired. I had the shrimp tostadas which were very tasty. Prices were reasonable but I thought the drinks were a little high
