The entrées were pretty good but I was a bit disappointed from the appetizers. The Mussels’ juice tasted like they had put their fryer oil on the dish. The sampler was very small and definitely not for more than 2 people. The service was on point and attentive. They have a souvenir shop in the first floor in front of the hostess table and it had very cute items.
Three things: Outstanding service, Delicious food, Loud atmosphere. Was hoping for a bit quieter atmosphere, but we were seated in a large room off to the right filled to the brim with large parties. It was fine, but for the price you're paying and really great service, it was hard to ignore. We also arrived close to 9pm and I think most diners were already three sheets into the wind...?? needless to say it did clear out and my family was able to enjoy some REALLY great food! My mariscos soup was probably one of the best I've had. My wife raved about her seafood pasta, my daughter's "kids" shrimp looked amazing although her rice pilaf was a bit undercooked. My son also enjoyed kids pasta w chicken and my seafood enchiladas were delicious! A nice, cremy, poblano sauce on top of cheesy corn tortillas stuffed with seafood. We also were delighted with the crème brulee and turtle cheesecake. I swore I'd remember our waiter's name... Ivan Ray? I know it was two-part name, but he was so attentive and friendly. Great job!
Food was a like bland but they took care of it overall great food & service, and the kids enjoyed ????????
Food looks great and the service is excellent, buuuuut the food was lacking. My soup tasted like it was just salty water. Rice was decent but my enchiladas weren’t even served warm. The stuffing inside them just seemed seasoned with salt. The other plate, shrimp were good, scallops were mediocre and the potatoes undercooked. Couldn’t eat them. Maybe it was just not a good day. Would I come back? Nah. But everyone should give it a try once, might be better for you
Told we could not eat on the patio. Yet we sat and watched a group of people be seated on the patio. My wife and I split a dish, I ordered a side Caesar Salad which came as maybe two lettuce leaves, five croutons and a sprinkle of cheese for which I was charged $9.99. When asked about anything special done for a 27th anniversary, we were presented with AND CHARGED FOR a "birthday desert". To say the least it was not the kind of ambiance we had been described.
The sea ranch is a nice place, nice location nice building bigger bar inside.. we expected the food to be better, especially for the price. ITS WAY OVER PRICED. its not bad food, but again nothing great or super special. Its $4.50 to add a sauce onto your fish... kinda rediculous on a $30 plus plate. We make WAY WAY better fish at home. If you dont eat alot of seafood like we do you will think its really good. Again its not horrible, but theres alot more that could happen here to make it much better. They have the setup to be the nicest seafood place on the island, they dont take advantage of it though and really excel food wise.
Service was outstanding! Pleasant and gracious staff from hostess to servers to busboy. Water glasses kept full, drinks from bar and soft drinks refreshed. Food delivered hot and as ordered. We enjoyed the red snapper and grouper fish entrees and stuffed mushroom appetizer. Pricey but I think overall the value in experience + food warranted the price. Wine by the glass was quite reasonably priced. Definitely recommend dining here.
Food was excellent and service great also. Had the blackened snapper and fried snapper. Scalloped potatoes wonderful with cheese and bacon. Great place for a good dinner
We read reviews about how busy it could get, so we got there right about 5:30 and had no wait at all. We enjoyed the South Padre Poke appetizer, pan grilled snapper, and our server recommended the au gratin potatoes (Um YUM!) We had great service and really enjoyed the food!
We had a reservation for a sunset table and was stuck against a wall with NO view. Hostess tried to sit our minor children at a SEPARATE TABLE. Thankfully a table next to us volunteered to move over. The 2nd floor was empty and they could have honored our sunset table reservation. Instead she sneered at us and told us we could take it or leave.Food was horrible. Snapper tasted like sour milk. Extremely overpriced. Our actual server tried hard and the manager comped us a dessert. However on a $300 bill and the seating debacle, it was too little too late. There are better choices on SPI
