This place is excellent. (Lifelong Texan & BBQ enthusiast.) They are always friendly, quick, and the quality of the BBQ has been 10/10 every time for me- it definitely shows that they picked up skills in the hill country. The owner is always happy to chat or talk about BBQ. In my opinion these guys are authentic down to the classic sides & homemade desserts. Also love that they ask whether you prefer the moist or leaner brisket. If you know good BBQ I think you’ll really enjoy Porky’s.
Really good BBQ next to a bar that does karaoke everyday. Really good brisket nachos and ribs were falling off the bone . Sauce was overly sweet but it did work with the ribs. Now the bacon wrapped jalapeno was mediocre and needed more cream cheese. Maybe a different sauce to go with the bacon wrapped jalapeno. all in all they're pumping out some really good barbecue.
The ribs and brisket were really good, but the pulled pork was very dry. Had to drench it in BBQ sauce to finish the sandwich. Potato salad and the mac & cheese were both good.However, neither one of the items (take-out order) came with the pickles, red onions, and jalapenos that the menu shows are included. Had those been missing from only one of my items, I would have seen it as an honest, careless mistake. But that neither item came with those suggests to me that they simply ran out and decided not to mention that to the customer.
I really wanted to like this place but I won't be back. The plates are well served hence the 2 stars but the food quality was not up to par. The chicken is super tender and juicy but Absolutely no flavor at all. I had to dtench it in bbq sauce just to eat it. The brisket was seriously dry and tough. I was not able to eat it. I'm Texas raised, BBQ is our thing and this just wasn't it. The potato was cold and didn't make good for mixing the ingredients in it. The cashier was not pleasant either. I had questions, I'm a new customer and she was not the least bit interested in offering service.
The service was warm and friendly. Very willing to answer questions about the menu. The Baby Back Ribs were phenomenal. Fall off the bone. Mac and cheese side was very good as well. Had the cheese fries, a very A&W moment. Friends had the Pulled Pork Sandwhich and the 2-Meat Sandwhich (Brisket & Sausage). Both were loved and devoured. I 10/10 would recommend.

Loved it. Great BBQ run by great Americans. Nice folks, treat you well and value for your money. It's a food truck but you can eat at the tables on the premises. Love this place.
I’m writing this while I’m eating because it’s so good I couldn’t wait another minute to write the review. In town on vacation and wanted something local and different… I would give Porky's 20 stars if that were an option. The ribs are so tender they fell off the bone while picking them up, and were very delicious. The pulled pork is absolutely amazing!! But what we will crave for months to come is the brisket!! I have never had a brisket with this much flavor. Absolutely delicious. HIGHLY recommend!
Absolutely blew me away! There are a ton of places on the island that talk a big game on their menus and then don't deliver. Last night I had a sad little cheeseburger with a baby's handful of fries. Porky's is the real deal. I got a three meat platter + appetizer and it was enough to feed three. Not just the portions, but every bit of it was unbelievably good.Everyone should try the bacon wrapped jalapeno. The sausages were smoky and tasty. The brisket was tender and delicious. The ribs were perfectly smoked with the meat literally sliding off the bone. Even the onion rings were homemade and in beer batter. I'm running out of adjectives, but seriously, if you are in the mood for BBQ, go here!!!
I only review places and products when the product, and or services are either exceptionally good or exceptionally bad.In this case, product and service were both exceptional.My wife and I ordered the brisket and the chopped beef. The brisket was very tender and the smoke flavor was not over powering like you find in many places. Being from Austin, and an amateur griller, I know brisket and admire anyone who can do a tender tasty brisket. Porky's Pit brisket qualifies as both.I highly recommend it.My wife and I loved talking to Bull and the staff, who were all exceptional and friendly.My one minor gripe is that I wish they had a couple of small picnic tables with beer purchase option to enjoy the atmosphere and talk with Bull and employees.Definitely returning!!!
