Nice place for a drink! Really nice environment!
Bad customer service. Do not ask questions about the menu because you will get attitude, a lot of eye rolls and shoulders shrugged. This was our first time here so we had questions on the taste of the chicken and we were rudely told it’s just like Panda Express and your taste buds are different from mine so not sure how you would determine the taste to be. My husband politely asked if they served beef and we were told “we serve everything on a pineapple so fugue it out.” We were Rudely asked if we were paying cash or we would be charged 5$ extra for card. When I asked for the total she rudely said I don’t know how much the taxes are. Honestly don’t waste your time here. Service is not friendly and the food itself is not great!!! The other food trucks have great service and great food!! Very disappointing since I had been wanting to come here for weeks now!!!
The food here exceeded my expectations. The pictures looked really good, and so I had to give this place a try. My wife and I didn't expect to be blown away with the quality and flavor of the chicken bowl or the Pineapple coconut drink. The Zucchini fries on the pineapple were delicious right down to the rice and chicken. Each ingredient seemed to carry its own unique flavor that when combined ammounted to an incredibly pleasant meal to eat. The drink tasted so fresh and natural, you can taste pieces of the coconut mixed in with the pineapple drink. Incredibly refreshing. Food was expensive, $49 for two bowls and 1 Pina colada drink but the price matched the high quality, and the price is understandable with the way inflation is going at the moment. Wish they had one here in San Marcos. 5 of 5 stars
Great place to eat! I got the Kick’n chicken bowl and it was so good, I went back again the next day! Staff were super friendly and accommodating. I would totally recommend this place if you’re in South Padre. Really made a great Father’s Day lunch.
First time trying this place. It was good, definitely a one time deal. We got a tail bowl and a Gump bowl. It was $57! No drinks. It took about 20 minutes to get, no big deal. The zucchini was good,the rice was spicy, and the pineapple was sweet. But I really feel like the price vs quantity of meat was not fit. It was good just not $60 good.
Not as good as it use to be. In 2019 we were visiting SPI and had dinner here. The food was awesome at that time. We again got it this year 2022 and I was disappointed for several reasons. 1. They no longer had grilled salmon in the pineapple bowl. 2. The chicken and shrimp pineapple bowls were good, not awesome. 3. The lady in the food truck refused to make any accommodations to take an order from a paraplegic gentleman that was unable to get out of his vehicle. I stepped in and talked with her for which she responded, "I don't care". I then placed his order for him and walked the 15 feet to his truck to give him his food.
This place is so unique and the food is wonderful!! Especially if you love pineapples.
Let me start with agreeing with another review. My wife really wanted to try this food truck. Hard facts: The shrimp in a pineapple bowl was good. However, we could have eaten at a sit down restaurant in SPI for the price and quantity. The pineapple Pina-colada looked fabulous with the pieces of pineapple on top but couldn’t hide the bland taste.
Pineapple Ninjaz is the Best, so last night at around 8:45pm I decided I wanted Pineapple Ninjaz I called the number on google and asked what time did they close at was told 10pm. I was like damn I’m coming from mission. I wouldn’t make it to the island in time. The staff told me they would stay open till 11pm to make sure we made.?. I was Shocked the level of customer service. Sure enough when I showed up. They were still open and were happy we made it. Food was phenomenal. Staff was happy and energetic. It was an amazing dining experience. Thanks Again for all that y’all do.
Why have I never tried this place untilnow? I’ve seen them all over social media with GREAT reviews and I love the menu items but never quite made the time. So I went last night had the shrimp and was blown away. Don’t hesitate to try this place food is fresh and the staff goes above and beyond to make your experience memorable. This is a one of a kind dining experience here in the RGV, you will NOT be disappointed, the food is literally art. Thanks guys for a memorable night we will definitely be back!
