This restaurant has limited seating & is one of the very few places with seaside seating on South Padre Island. So the demand for seats is very high. Fortunately, we had reservation. Unfortunately, in spite of the reservations we had to wait because the host staff was busy with a couple who had no reservations but were arguing about how they had been wait listed for 1.5 hours, but had plenty of money to spend etc. basically trying every which way to grab a seat. The host staff was more attentive to that couple than us while we patiently waited for them. My suggestion to the host staff would be to pay more attention to guests who have made reservations than gatecrashers! Once we were seated us, the evening was pretty good. Our actual wait staff was super nice & decently attentive. The food did not take too long to arrive. They have a kids menu - its not printed but the wait staff can tell you what is available. We had a nice view of the ocean front & enjoyed our evening there. We started with Tito's mule & crab cake bites. These are succulent & can easily be shared. For our mains we tried shrimp mango wrap & blackened Mahi-Mahi tacos. Both dishes were excellent but the portion size was huge! I would highly recommend the fish tacos over the shrimp wrap if you only have room for one. All in all give it try. It's nice!

The environment on the water, the boats going by and the fantastic food are the biggest reasons to visit this restaurant in South Padre. The sushi grade tuna nachos were remarkable. The seared tuna was also absolutely fantastic. My only issue was the reservation system. You have to go on online the day before during very specific times to make the reservation. It was incredibly confusing and we had to go down to the restaurant and make arrangements in person… Something that they don’t typically accommodate. I saw many people tuned away at the hostess stand because they didn’t follow procedure. Once you get a table, you are all set!

Good food, attentive service, bayside seating make for an enjoyable meal be it a light snack or dining,

1st visit: walked up and they were no longer accepting business, make reservation online they say. Well, try that, it’s not easy! Calling is not an option and website for reservations is messed up. Last night had reservations at 7:00 . OH FORGOT.. THEY ARE ONLY OPEN 4-8 pm so the window is not large to get in. Their menu looks good but the frustration of it all is not worth it. We showed up at 6:30 which we would have liked to get a drink at the bar but the bar was full of 2 or 4 people. We could not stand by the bar because the manager said “ no one stands in my restaurant !” Rudely none the less!! They would not seat us but were taking customers that walked up. “Come back at 7”. ..UNREAL! NOT EVER GOING BACK!!!! Sad it’s so unfriendly because it is a nice setting for a restaurant. We headed over to Sea Ranch with a call ahead reservation and we had a very good meal with excellent service. Sea Ranch is always good!!

We came to the island as 4 adults who never been here. We loved this place, ate here multiple times in our weeks stay. The atmosphere was awesome, the Sunsets beautiful. The staff was terrific! We all enjoyed our meals every night. The shrimp cocktail was yummy & although there was 5 large shrimp hanging there is 5-6 more chopped in the sauce. The large is big enough for a meal for one. We had the Red Fish, Maui Maui, shrimp (blackened & fried) , the Raspberry Key lime Pie was yummy. It’s not the best place I ever eaten but the best on the island.

We were 4 Adults coming to South Padre for the first time for a week. Ate here many nights because everything we tried was above average to very good. Best we had on the island. We had shrimp cocktail that was exceptional. Very good drinks. We had the blackened Maui Maui, the Blackened Shrimp, Blackened Red Fish, fried shrimp, shrimp kabobs with BBQ, Avocado Fries, and the Shrimp Cesar Salad. The staff was very attentive & personable.

Rudee staff, not so clean tables or floors. Food just okbut very pricey. Most tables are outdoors and most if them were in direct sunlight. Maybe not a problem early spring or fall, but was hot and miserable. Try any other place and save your time and money on this place.

I reserve a five-star rating for venues providing high quality service & products — my only disappointment was not dining here sooner in the week (so we could have returned for more meals)! I loved the way management takes an active role in hands-on interactions with the guests serving as greeter, traffic control, mid-meal surveys and more. My Blackened Grouper entree was amazing and my wife’s fried shrimp was the best we had all week on the island. Great team-work support from everyone we interacted with. BTW - the views of the bayside are great with good sight-lines from any seat in the open air covered pavilion style dining room. The focus here is on the food and dining experience including a robust eclectic playlist music selection. If you’re looking for a loud bar scene with live country/rock bands — this is not that place. Casual upscale vibe perfect for a special occasion celebration!

Overall we’re giving this experience a three. The food was mediocre came in cold and was not anything we would go back for. Ahi tuna salad was good rice was cold, vegetables were cold, crabcakes were dry, shrimp tacos would not order again. Kitchen was not able to accommodate any special requests such as grilled shrimp versus blackened. Giving it a three because atmosphere was good and our server was nice.

Very nice relaxed place to eat by the water. Cool view of the bridge. Our waiter was impeccable, very nice and attentive.Their sea food was really good. Fresh and really delicious. As for drinks, I ordered the Marlin Pain Killer #2 and it was DELICIOUS!We will be defiantly going back there.
