This place goes further downhill every year. We were one of only two parties in the restaurant and it took 25 minutes for the food to arrive. My burger was dry and undercooked. My son said the fish was really good though. Beware they automatically add a 18% gratuity on every order. The restaurant exterior and Libby is dreadful and the AC wasn’t working in the dining room

The food was OK at best. On the menu it was reasonably priced, but when the check came they added $10 as an "automatic tip" on a $28. bill. Highway robbery. They refused to change it. We selected the patio because we had our dog with us and pets are allowed on the patio. The tables were filthy and didn't look like they had been cleaned in a month. Ours wobbled so badly our drinks kept splashing out of the glass. There was some kind of greasy film over the plastic tablecloth. Even our 5-year old granddaughter said "This place is nasty." The waiter didn't know what was included with an entire. I selected the two sides from the "sides" selections and he said "Oh, so you want to add a salad?" I pointed out that it came with the dinner and he said, "Oh, OK." We had the fired fish dinner. Menu said you could get fried, grilled or blackened. Nothing about any additional charges. We said fried. The owner told us there was an extra charge to fry the fish?????? Terrible experience. We were on vacation and didn't want to bother arguing with the idiot owner and just paid and left. Too bad I didn't read all the same reviews on another review site BEFORE we went there to eat.

I don’t always write reviews for restaurants, but this time we left very unhappy with the service, they did told us there will be a wait time for food and we were fine with that, the problem was that our table was extremely nasty, I told the waitress if she could clean it (which she did after the second time we asked) but she came out with the dirtiest rag they had and wiped down only where our food was going to sit… as shown in the pictures.During the whole time we were waiting for our food (1 1/2 hours) they only refilled our drinks once and we asked for a beer but the beer never came YET they charged 18% for service?!! Honestly, $20 dlls they DIDNT deserve, not even for the waitress but for the house, the tip was extra.. The waitress was a sweetheart and the food was so good but the experience could’ve been better..

This would be a one star review based on my food only. My wife had a nice, large piece of grilled fish. I had a T-Bone steak that was white. It almost looked like it was cooked from frozen. I sent it back to be thrown on the grill for a bit longer as it was cool and under cooked in the center. The place could use a renovation. Very dingy. Needs a visit from JohnTaffer.

Amazing staff, great margaritas, and food was SO good. I had pecan encrusted red snapper one day and fish (blacked) and grilled shrimp. Many side options. Mexican and burgers also amazing (consumed by friends)!! Highly recommend. Pet friendly on deck.

Best food on my vacation/my pup's vacation.Dogs - I brought my pupper and was worried about island accommodations. PadreRita Grill was TRULY dog friendly. Their doggy menu was great and my pup was happier than ever. They even brought him an iced water bowl. This is MUST if you come with fido.Service - I went on Feb 21 for my 6th anniversary and received such great service. Andy was my server and rocked! The other person working at the time was also super rad.

Entertainment was very good. Meal was pretty good, note 18% service fee was added into the bill. We were not informed up front, found this a little deceptive. Otherwise pretty good, prefer places that are forthright about tipping/service fee up front. Will not likely return.

Great place to dance.Enertainer was great. Great buffet or order off menu. Best shrimp cocktail ever. I'd order 2 if I could eat that much! The shrimp was huge and the sauce was outstanding. The service was great. What a great place.

We arrived in South Padre on Christmas day tired and hungry, so we went to the first open restaurant we saw. They had a buffet, with box potatoes (I could tell by the taste), sliced turkey, corn, green beans, stuffing, gravy, rolls, a couple other Christmas dinner type dishes. No shrimp, crab legs or any high end food dishes. Two buffets, 2 iced teas, an 18% service charge (wth????) and tax brought our bill to just over $93!!!! And we were expected to tip. Way to screw the tourists!! In Wisconsin the bill would have been $30 at a supper club. I did tip the server, but not as much as I normally would have. The decor/ambiance were not very appealing either. Obviously we won't go back. Diners beware.

66 one star reviews turn around and leave don't look back this is the kind of restaurant that makes you shake your head and wonder why they stay in the business and why they just don't give up and leave. Not only was I disappointed in my meal but harassed the owner. Lots of better options on the island, head south across the street to Tom & Jerry's a much better option with great reviews, or head north on the other side of the street to Blackbeard's Seafood. Buona petite
