First time here and it was great! Gracie, our waitress was super nice, helpful and had such a great attitude! I don't leave many reviews, but she had really great customer service and she was patient with my kids as well. I don't think the AC was working but it wasn't that bad. I got the chicken club sandwich and it didn't disappoint!! Very good food!
This place was a nice environment we got seated immediately. Also the host was very on point and keeping a lookout if anyone needed anything. The food and beverages came in a timely manner and not only that but it was delicious, all around I consider it a 5 star burger joint.
Johnny Rockets South Padre Island: The zero star is not an option. In short, I will say "Never again". Family of 7. Arriving at 12:20 for lunch. 2 of us are vegan and had confirmed the availability of vegan options before heading there.Our waiter came to us. (I now know his name after reading it on the ticket: O.). High as a kite (just an impression, can't be certain of course), or with as much personality and energy as an elevator door. Ordered 4 milkshakes, 2 were vegan. We place our orders, but no vegan option beside 1 vegan patty (the menu lists plant based burger, daya cheese, vegan milkshakes). At 1pm, we were still waiting for 1 water, appetizer, food... He brings 1 milkshake, and says that they're out of vegan milkshakes... 1:15, still nothing. Mind you, one lady was cooking, 4 waiters were present and only 4 tables occupied. O won the first place in the slowness department and the lack of care for his job.The food finally arrived, it was simply not good. Nasty patties, frozen fries, frozen onion rings, horrendous philly... Never offered a refill, did not check on us, saw us going to ask for a to-go box, and did not do anything. We decided to leave, and went to the counter to ask for our bill. On a counter with spilled strawberry shake, he gave us our ticket. We had to leave a tip, just because, but we should not have. Way to go, $125 for nothing.
Clean, friendly, and tasty food! The Smokehouse burger was great! The bacon and cheese fries were also pretty decent. And they serve beer! If you want friendly service and great tasting food - stop in here!
Love Johnny Rockets so much we went twice while on Padre Island! Food was good and service was too. My only suggestion is to have music playing. Both times we were there, no music.
Great experience! The BBQ bacon burger was delicious and the service was reasonably quick and friendly. Fun restaurant, great food. Would recommend!
Sadly I didn't have a good experience. Went 2 days ago to dinner with my family. Love Johnny Rockets, but this time was terrible. Service was slow and awful. Food was ready but sat (we could see it) and got brought to us cold. Never got drink refills. Our shakes we brought after we had finished eating because they were so slow. Staff was pretty quiet and almost seemed annoyed we were there to eat. Overall, just a really frustrating experince.
Just what we needed on a drizzly day- mushroom and Swiss was great! We had burgers, fries, and shakes and were pleasantly surprised!
This is an over priced burger joint that is nothing special. many better burgers in the area and much better value.
