Indoor dining area nice and cool, excellent service, food delicious. Outside area limited food selection, no table service, but live dj.
Great food and drinks. The bartender was awesome. Had a great time. I will be back
I tried this for breakfast and dinner, as well as getting several poolside drinks from the outside bar. Only reason I gave 4 stars rather than 5 was bc the inside restaurant served their drinks way too strong. The outside bar served them much better.
Came to a convention with a friend and Samsung had a meet and greet here a bar Louie and they treated us to apps and drinks. This place is nice a cozy with dance floor which is very cool. Food and drinks were on point. I will definitely come again..Happy Health to all....
Very fun place, live music ? ?Atmosphere super cool.Delicious food ? and drinks ?Fireworks ??....every Friday and Saturday on the beach ⛱️ ?
We have been there several times both inside and at the outside bar. Lori and Jaime were great. I love the mule drinks! The burgers are so much better than regular bar food. We go there every time we are in spi.
Went here for a lunch while waiting on hotel room. Ordered the Ahi Tuma Poke only to find out they were out of poke. Made me wonder if it was freshly made. Ended up with fish and chips. The white fish was heavily battered. It was well seasoned and the taste was was good. My grandson ordered boneless buffalo wings. He like the flavor and stated they were spicy. Bar Louie does have an actual gluten free menu. Ordered an old fashion which was made correctly.
This was probably the best dinner we had on South Padre island. This is located in Courtyard by Marriott but one need not be a guest at Marriott to dine there. It has good quality food & prompt service. We had no wait to be seated or to receive food. So kudos for nailing that! Plus, this place has live music which made for even more pleasant evening. We started off the evening with shrimp tempura & boneless wings. Both made a great accompaniment to OG mule & old fashioned. Though I would recommend the OG mule, the old fashioned needed a bit more simple syrup (for our liking). When we asked the drink to be remade to our liking, it came without any cherry & orange rind (which was not professional). We followed the appetizers with their roasted veggie flatbread. The thing I liked about this place was the portion sizes. Everything seemed manageable. The band was not too loud so we could actually converse while they played. And yes, they were taking requests. The kids were having fun on the dance floor. So the overall ambiance seemed very family friendly. And yes, they do have kids menu. I wanted to go back the next day since I loved their food so much! That is testimonial enough.
Worst server and service, we were celebrating our nephew graduation and just because we were a big group that i was not able to tell him how many and that we need it more tables than just one he got upset and started being rude, after all the family started showing up they gave another server for the rest of the other group then i understand why he got upset and was because he wanted the service charge ( tip included when is a big group) for himself and that's why he wanted to keep us in his section, well by then the two servers started serving so when the time comes my nieces need it refill of drinks they were part of the server Agustin mean while that server was having a good and long chat with his coworker instead of taking care of his tables he barely show up to the table to check on them, so finally he pass by so one of nieces ask for refill he just took the glass seems like he put ot away and never came back after a while i had to ask him for my niece drink he got upset and he responded to me "you can go ahead and go get it yourself" so i told him ok i can do that, i will do better job than him, but excuse me!!!! If you don't like your job please go work in the kitchen or somewhere else this job it's not for you, but my question is who's hiring this kind of people that mistreat costumers like that. I don't know about the rest of my family but on my part i will never go back at there and if you are visiting that part of South Padre Island Texas that's the last place you want to go to eat.
We had so much fun and the food and drinks were incredible!! I started with the Wild Berry Margarita Cocktail for a cause and the Blistered Shishito Peppers - great combo! Hubs started with the Hand Battered Fried Pickles and a Blood Orange Mule and then had the Chicken Spinach Mac n Cheese and a Gastrobuger. I had the Cheesesteak dip (YUMMM!) but I will be going back for one of the grilled cheese sandwiches... We finished with a giant slice of chocolate cake and an International Love Affair coffee drink. It was a perfect evening celebrating my birthday and our waiter Augustine was a fantastic host. The music was great too!!
