Our waitress Ashli was awesome! When we come back we will be requesting her as a our server as she was on top of it all. Thank you Ashli we really do appreciate you! We will be back again!
The last time I was at La Mesa was heir food was terrible and he heir service was worse. Would definitely not recommend. Food was burned and when we asked about it. The waitress got very smart about it and made a big fuss. And this was over a bowl of cheese nachos. Haven’t been back. The food really isn’t that good anyway.

We had dinner on Saturday night - party of 4 - seated quickly and the service was outstanding. Plenty of staff on site and very good attention to our table. Thanks to all the staff !
Pretty much your standard Tex-mex tbh. The food was good, but not good enough to stand out to me if that makes sense.The service was nice though and there’s plenty of seating.Like I said the food is okay.I got the el grande plate to sample some stuff.I don’t think I’ll eat here again. Nothing personal at all, food just wasn’t great.However the price wasn’t that bad at all.The queso also wasn’t that good imo. Tasted like canned nacho cheese. No tomatoes or anything added to the queso.Pricing is affordable in my opinion.
Bus girl makes chips in between bussing tables. Does not wash hands or use clean towel and ate chips while in dining room. Fingers in glasses. Waiter did not remember order or serve entire order. Had to ask for the rest of our order. Very sloppy experience especially for the prices. Need trained in sanitary standards. Shameful service
Was in town on business and took a shot in the dark. Steak fajita chimichanga was excellent. The flan was silky smooth and worth the trip back alone. Highly recommend La Mesa.
There was no one waiting in a line when I arrived yet it took a few minutes to be seated. The waiter was nice and efficient. Food was brought to the table piping hot and absolutely delicious. Overall experience was nice.
I walked in and ordered chips, salsa and queso. Two orders of each and a small margarita to go. Very few persons were in restaurant as it was 5:15. They rang me up for $28 at 5:17 and said they would bring it to me. Perfect! I went to my car and waited outside the window and watched and waited. Nothing had to be cooked!! At 5:45 I walked in and picked up my food. Numerous young ladies working there walked to and from the counter in that 30 minute time frame and stopped to chat. Inside I was told the inside customers had to be waited on first. Evidently their money is more important than the $30.23 I just provided. What that means is eat inside because they don’t care about carry out or pick up customers. Nice job Mexican food restaurant of the year!
