I appreciate the app to order in advance, but the service is starting to decline. Condiments not putting into bag, forgetting fries, no add-ons put in bags ... So be sure to check your order before driving away. The staff are friendly and that's definitely good. They are hustling which is very visible. The burgers are slapped together a pile of pickles vs them laid out on patty, the mustard stopped on with the lettuce & tomatoes sliding out, and if ya have double or triple meat its a guaranteed failure to be stacked. You end up trying to recreate your burger & cleanup the mess called a burger ... The pride in making a great burger is decreasing rapidly at Whataburger as its not just this this locations problem...
Sometimes, it isn't bad; I rarely have issues with food. My issue is curbside. When the drive thru is busy, they put all their attention to them, and people in curbside are left to sit for 30 minutes to an hour. Sure it depends on the size of the order, but I always get a single meal that is super easy to make, and if I'm ever curbside, I always sit there for 30 minutes to an hour. Even if I do mobile takeout, it's the same story. I wait for a long time. All I'm saying is that they need to prioritize all customers, not just drive thru.
As much as I love whataburger this location has disappointed me too many times, I have been sitting in the curbside spot for over 45 minutes when the car next to me pulled up and received their order within 10 minutes of parking. Also it seems like every time I order anything from this location they seem to either miss something or give me something I didn’t even order.UPDATE:I walked inside and asked about my order and it had been finished for at least 10 minutes and everything was cold.
A little slow, but probably because of the personnel issues prevalent everywhere today. Overall though, staff was courteous and food was good. I enjoy Whataburger because of their 24/7 service and the variety of the menu. Would recommend to anyone, especially late night or early morning travelers.
San Marcos location is very consistent with fresh food and quality service...??UPDATE?? 2/2022..anyone else notice any food quality changes? ie...smaller beef pattiesDo NOT get me started on no longer having grilled cheese on the kids meal menu. I'm older and a vegetarian (yes I eat at Whataburger and I don't eat meat...my family is a big TEXAS sized bunch of meat eaters) anyway...it's gone and it was a perfect sized meal for me and I'm disappointed ....I loved the chocolate chip cookie ?...hrmph
Custom chicken sandwich. Always fast and clean at this location. Top notch.
Am from TEXAS so this restaurant is part of my DNA. It's rare for me to have a bad day when I eat here at least 3 times per week. It doesn't matter where we go in Texas for a breakfast taco, biscuits and gravy, a breakfast Bob, or a double meat cheese burger with fresh Hot fries, or a chicken burger or maybe a fish sandwich. Don't forget your thick milkshakes. Darn, am getting hungry, sorry guys I would like to tell you more but am off to my friendly neighborhood WHATABURGER..
One of the better Whataburger's that I go to when / if I am working in area and want that for lunch. Always awesome staff very friendly and always have my order fairly quickly. Definitely a lot faster than all other Whataburger's I've been to. This whataburger is Always very neat, clean and sanitary to ensure everyone's safety!
Ordered a six pice and this is what I got hard ends from the bottom of the bag and no toast. One of the pieces doesn't even have meat in it. Completely disappointed that was my dinner.
I like their burgers, but I come for the Spicy Chicken sandwich mostly. The Onion Rings here are top notch! So good. It's Open 24hrs, can't get much better than that.
