I went to the thundercloud in San Marcos today my normal thundercloud is the new braunfels location they have the best subs but this San Marcos location took my order threw the drive threw did not read the order back and then they did not put my American cheese and mustard on my sandwich I live about 45 minutes away so I called and told them what happened and was just told hopefully we can get it right next time did not offer to fix it or replace it and then we sat there in silence and she asked if there was anything else she could do for me and I just hung I would have rated a 5 but the customer service was sub par I really hope she is not a manager there
We stopped at Thunderclouds because the line at the McDonald's was so long. Boy am I glad did.The employees were all enthusiastic, friendly, and knowledgeable. Caylin took our order makeing suggestions when we needed them. The "The purple haired girl" made our subs in record time.The place wasn't too expensive and the subs tasted great.
It was my first visit but are you really nice experience and the restaurant was very clean and appealing but the fresh ingredients on my sandwich really rounded out my favorite stop for a sub sandwich shop.
I’m here in town visiting, and decided to try something different and support what looked like a local shop. We were greeted by a man wearing a purple sweater working 01/16/22 around 2:30 mean less to say he was very talkative, friendly, helpful, and very informative about the store and the menu. The menu options are very well organized and easy to understand. The service the man provided and continued to serve other customers as we sat and ate. The food was very good we were very suprised on the punch of flavors the subs pack. We will be back on our next visit. P.s. try the broccoli soup if it’s available it is to die for.
Really good subs. The Big Paul is everything you hoped Subway would be but never delivered. The staff looks a bit tired but they're working hard and doing a great job. They deserve big fat raises for having to deal with this pandemic.
This place rocks! Customer service and food quality and freshness is outstanding. I drive all the way from Austin to this location to order every week. It's that good. #yumbigpaul

Took one bite of my gluten-free Austin club and had to stare at the sandwich to see what magic pixie dust they used to make it taste so damn good. Couldn't discern what sorcery they used, so I continued to demolish the sandwich within the next 20-30 seconds.In summary. Absolutely delicious and this place is now one of my favorite lunch-time restaurants.
10/10 sandwiches. Everytime I branch out and order something new I'm anxious due to the unique (really just odd) ingredient combinations they have for their main sandwiches, but as I'm anxious everytime I'm also immediately satisfied upon chewing the first bite. Some combos may be odd, or just downright bizarre (like the egg salad and bacon sandwich), however ALL of them are delicious.
I'm going with the majority and agreeing that they club that I got was great! But the NY Italian that my wife got was better, i will be getting that one the next time we got, and we will be back!!!
