Taproom is in a nice hidden nook, I enjoyed my experience, the food was great. They serve several different types of beer and there were at least three different sports playing at a time so plenty of variety. The wait staff is quick and attentive and depending on when you go it can be a little more rowdy than other times. But the experience is fun and there is plenty to look at.
First time in San Marco haning out with my bro from out of state. We found this place on Google. Just looking for a cold beer and maybe a snack. What a great surprise. The food was delicious and the beer selection was awesome. Tasting beers from all around Texas was actually fun. After a few beers, well maybe more, we played pool then darts with more suds until the wives called and said party is over. Should have left them in California. Have fun.
Came in for a quick bite and had some chili cheese tots that hit the spot. The portion size was a lot larger than I expected so I ended up not getting anything else. It was pretty busy but service was timely. There were Bingo games being hosted by a Billy Bob Thornton type personality but I didn't participate. The crowd seemed into it though and the prizes were pretty good considering it was free to play. I'll have to come back to check out more.
Very relaxed and fun pub. Great for gatherings with good friends.
The tap room is a straight up institution in San Marcos. Yes they have an amazing selection of drinks, and hell yea they have probably some of the best burgers in the country, and they definitely have great events (trivia night I'm looking at you) but honestly it's the atmosphere that I think is best. It's got a hometown vibe and a small town crowd that rotates and changes with TxSt. I absolutely adore this place
Good service and drinks. Lots of beers on tap. The food was good but not great. The chicken on the salad was a bit over cooked and the onion rings were were too thick. The burger was great, no complaints there.
The queso burger was like non ever. So delicious. I was visiting from out of town. I had the queso burger and fries and it was so good. The waitress was also very nice to give me great cocktail suggestions.
Our server was awesome. The tap selection changes seasonally which keeps it interesting, and the hamburgers were really delicious. We got the queso appetizer, that I will pass on next time, the wings the table next to us ordered looked so good, so that's on my list for next time.
Great fall off the bone ribs. Their chicken and waffle appetizers are the greatest thing I've ever had. You must try them!!
Just wanted to show some love to one of my favorites! Yea the beers selections are nice and they burgers may be famous but the real golden ticket here, for me at least, are the RIBS. Don’t pass up a chance to try the fall off the bone, mouth watering, and succulent baby back ribs. If you like pork ribs you won’t regret it!
