They spend a lot of time talking instead of making drinks, so their lack of multi-tasking is really concerning. I was also told they couldn't make a Trenta cold brew, despite that being a menu item. They said it was due to being a retail location, but I have worked for both a corporate store and a retail Starbucks, and that particular drink should not be an issue to make. If they didn't know the measurements, they could just say that instead of claiming they are unable to make the drink.When they told me it was due to being a retail location, they answered with an arrogant attitude. I find it bold for them to act that way as well as discuss behind the bar how they dislike customer's orders when they are obviously untrained and incapable of making drinks themselves. If you're going to have that attitude about your job, make sure you can do it first.
Visited this location on campus for the first time tonight. I was unaware of the location until then. However, it was super convenient while I was working on school work. In addition, the service was super fast and easy , even with huge line that was racking in during this time. The barista offered their favorite drink while I was ordering and intrigued me on trying something new! 10/10 experience and will be back!
The place is located at the first floor of Alkek Library, TXST. It's spacious and very convenient for students to grab a coffee while studying.However, it has a lot of issues as well. Firstly, there's always a huge line and takes at least 10-15 minutes to oder during peak hours which extends from 9 am to 6 pm most days. Secondly, the batistas are not well trained. One time I asked about the Starbucks reward card and none of them had any idea on how to get it. I was new to the coffee shop and seeing how clueless they are about directing me to avail the Starbucks card showed their incompetence and lack of general training.Coming to coffees they are pretty decent or average. One time a barista did not call my name while serving coffee and I had to wait 10 mins before asking them and they did not apologise for it. Seems like they have an ego issue and not apologetic for making mistakes.Most of them are probably TXST students so most people are sympathetic towards them as they are just trying to make a living. But a global company like Starbucks should be more careful before hiring and training their employees.

Don’t even try to order unless you want to wait in line for an hour. Zero sense of urgency maybe the baristas should drink some more coffee

Waited 30min for my drink they must have lost and then they gave me a grande not even the venti I payed for.
Worst experience ever, after asking for an iced blonde vanilla latte and the barista giving me a caramel macchiato, they still failed to acknowledge their mistake and didn’t offer me a new drink because according to one of the baristas, “as long as it tastes like a latte” then the drink is fine. The barista that made my coffee was clearly new and I kindly told him about the mistake, then immediately, the barista that was training him turned around and tells him “no you did it right.” Then, she asks what’s wrong with the order and I say that it’s a caramel macchiato, and that’s when she basically attacks me saying “No it’s right, as long as it tastes like a latte,” along with other non sense but after a few seconds she says “oh, I see he just put the espresso on top” but still refuses to even offer me a new drink! Regardless though, I disregarded everything because I knew they weren’t going to ask me if I wanted them to remake the drink. Keep in mind though, I wasn’t rude, and decided to drink the drink they gave me. What drove me to write this review was that I decided to sit, and the girl blatantly tells all her co-workers what had happened and keeps repeating “as long as it tastes like a latte, it’s fine” loud enough that everyone in the there easily heard. Very unprofessional, and poorly trained staff here!!!
