Some of the rolls are really good, just make sure to eat all your food because they do charge you for leftovers.

Me and a group of friends came to Sakura for Hibachi, there was no wait and we’d never been. While there were some small things that could have been better - the ice tea just had an “off” taste and the salad was way over dressed… the hibachi chef was INCREDIBLE as was the food he made. We had an absolute blast. He was entertaining, fun, interactive, and truly made our experience a joy. The food was also super tasty!

Had a great mommy & son date night at this lovely restaurant. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It was a different style of sushi than I'm use too ... shredded cucumbers instead of small bits, seemed like the tuna was pureed vs sliced ... There was an extra charge for food not eaten with all-you-can-eat to help lessen food waste, but they did allow you take what wasn't eaten home (I believe $5 per entree, $2 per appetizer, and .50cents per sushi). There was a short wait compared to how long I thought it'd take. They were crowded, but it flowed smoothly & quickly. I have to give props to the quality of the staff working together & the ability to keep the food flowing from the chefs (sorry if not correct terminology) working diligently to provide to the masses. I was excited to learn they have an all-you-can-eat which is great news when feeding a teenager. It was my son's first experience of sushi and gave him the opportunity to try lots of different options to figure out what he likes. We got a kick out of the conveyor belt delivery. We had a great time & definitely made some memories to cherish for a long time. Many smiles, lots of laughter, and full bellies! We got home & went into a food coma ? ? ?

Hot pot was mediocre, soups had little flavor. Sushi conveyor belt is a cool addition, but doesn’t match the ambiance of this place. Prices were too high for the quality of food we got. Basically didn’t have a waiter we saw them twice the whole experience. Didn’t get refills because we had paid already. Overall not coming back.

This place was definitely not worth the hype I’ve heard over the years. We did the unlimited sushi and the sushi tasted very strange. Almost like gas station sushi. The crab salad was some version of imitation crab that I’ve never had before, and not in a good way. The texture was weird, and the flavor was weird. Service was terrible. We never knew who our server was and they didn’t seem to know either. Condiments were very dirty and greasy. First and last time here.

I had the all you can eat lunch. Some pros:-very filling-lots of great options to choose from-super reasonable price-love that they charge you if you have waste; all you can eat is not a free pass to be a gluttonCons:-pretty dirty. All the tables/chairs/dishes and bathrooms were nasty. I was swatting mosquitos off me the entire time I used their bathroom. There were also flies throughout the restaurant-food was just OK. It’s not amazing, it’s not bad. I think as a broke college student this place would have been right up my alley, but now that I’ve had better quality sushi it’s a bit hard for me to go back down to that level and be fully satisfied-sushi had a really hard time staying together. A lot of my pieces were very big and fell apart super easily. Not horrible, just a bit of a bummer is all-waitress was nice, but not attentive. We waited a long time to get service and refills on our drinks and whatnot. It was just odd because the table literally right next to us had a different server and he was checking in on them very frequently. Perhaps she was just not having a good dayAll in all, I will be back because I’d like to try their other options like hot pot and hot entrees. It’s decent food that’ll scratch an itch for a reasonable price. It’s just not something I think I’ll find myself really craving or hankering for.

The service is fine, but the sushi is very mid. Specifically, there's a lot of imitation crab in the rolls in the all you can eat conveyor belt, and the rolls also have minimal integrity (they fall apart easily). I haven't had anything else here, but I would eat HEB sushi over what's on those conveyor belts any day.San Marcos deserves better. ?

We came in at a bad time I guess. Tables were dirty, sushi conveyor was empty. The waiters were nice, but service took a long time. Oil was old. Food wasnt like it used to be, but its not understaffed, so... Anyway, once the restaurant started to fill up, then we were being serviced well. At the end they almost tried to charge us for dinner price instead of lunch special, but due to our bad experience they were willing to honor it.

This was my first amd last time here. The tables are greasy and condiment bottles are sticky and un wiped, my boyfriend ordered fried calamari and there was an extremely long hair cooked inside of it. To top it off the bill came for the all you can eat sushi and was over $50 due to $3.25 sweet teas .

We had a hot pot for three.Took forever to get our pots, then even more time with the food. They didn't explain how to turn our pots on and didn't offer any clarity to information despite is telling them we were new here. Some of the vegetables weren't clean. The waitress confused chicken with beef and actually argued with us. The meat was prepared well though and the meat sauce was delicious.Prices are a bit high for the level of service. The check was around $150 for the three of us.
