First there were many empty tables, but we had to wait almost 20 minutes to be seated and I was using a walker. Once seated, we ordered. The waitress had trouble understanding our order. My husband ordered green tea. She brought him regular tea and when he pointed it out, she argued that it was green tea. Nope, it wasn't. His meal was suppose to come with miso. When he pointed that out, she said no, it wasn't. He had to point it out on the menu. The waitress was incompetent and agrumentive. They also had no Splenda Another waitres said they had been out for awhile. Hello, there is an HEB not far from you? Could you go down there and buy some? But the big disappointment was the food. It had little to no taste. My yellowfin was extremely bland and didn't have much taste. My husband had sushi with tuna, salmon, yellowfin. He said HEB sushi was better. I ordered Thai Massaman Curry as a take home. There is NO HEAT. I think they forgot to put the curry in the dish. Bland, bland, bland. The only thing nice about the restaurant is the decor, a pretty menu, and presentation. But food is not good at all.
7/26/22I ordered to go from here. I got the chicken and shrimp noodles dish and tofu summer rolls. The noodles in both dishes were old and fat. They were fat because they either- A. Over boiled them B. Left in the hot water to longThis is not how you make noodles.The chicken was so sweet, I thought it was going to give me diabetes. Plus the amount of shrimp, it was just 3 pieces.I asked for how chili oil and the lady said, I gave peanut sauce... I didn't want that, especially when it looks like the special sauce from McDonald's...Not really good and there was no care in the food or service.
Pad Thai:. for an additional $2 you'll get 5 shrimp. If you're familiar with how Pad Thai is supposed to taste, be prepared to add your own seasonings like fish sauce, chili sauce, a little sesame oil, otherwise it is tasteless. On a good note, if you like onions, you're good. I have an equivalent of 1/2 large onion.
Absolute best Sushi in San Marcos. The sushi chef is a true artist. We love all the food here. All Asian foods represented.
Food is solid, crab Rangoons are very good. But I had to wait an hour to pickup dinner for two in an empty restaurant. Another person arrived before me and waited just as long. And this was past dinner rush on a Monday, with barely any people dining. I don't understand what could've possibly taken so long, especially considering I was told my food would be ready in 10-15 minutes over the phone.

We ordered a ton of sushi which was served beautifully and was fresh and delicious, exceeding flavor expectations. When my Husband ordered another plate of sushi he went up and tipped the sushi chef who then told the owner we were ordering a lot and the owner brought us a complimentary sushi ceviche plate while waiting! He thanked us for our business and when he found out it was our anniversary he sent us a complimentary dessert when finished. WOW! Well done team! Our respect and you now have regulars as well as a ton of word of mouth business coming to you. Thank you so much. 😊👏

I ordered the orange chicken plate, with a $2 up charge to try the noodles instead of rice…the portion was good, and the orange sauce amazing and I wish I could say the same for the chicken, but it was so crunchy, dry and overcooked it was mostly inedible. And the noodles were nothing special, I probably would have been happier with the fried rice.
I can't speak highly enough about Rollin Bowl. As someone with special dietary needs, I have to do a lot of searching to find restaurants that can accommodate me. I was so pleased to discover that Rollin Bowl was able to take care of me without any trouble. Delicious food!
