We were there on Thursday 6/23. We were there put of town on a baseball tournament and found this quaint and cute establishment. We ordered The Handshake and a cheese calzone. The cheese calzone was the size of both my hands put together. The pizza was the best we have had in a long time. It was piping hot and the cheese was ooey-gooey. The ingredients were so fresh. The pictures don't do it justice. Wished we had this establishment in my area.
This was our first visit to PS. All the reviews implied that they had the best pizza in town. Well.....the beer was good. We got a split pie: one side with sausage and the other with pepperoni, green peppers (never got on) garlic, onions. The pizza had little to no sauce, minimal veggies, sparse meat but HEAVY garlic. The crust though was good. We also got a Caesar salad. It was a good salad but again, a heavy hand with the garlic which rendered the salad a bit unpleasant to eat. We love garlic but this was too much. ? I am sorry to say but it was disappointing. We will continue to search for somewhere local (Austin's Via 313 is some of the best we ever had but not local) that actually have good pizza.
We ordered our pizzas at 6:19pm and it is now 7:19pm and still no pizza. When asked about it two different times they said it was in the oven. If this was true those pizzas are burnt to a crisp. Manager never came over to apologize or talk to us. Also, the entire staff touched all the pizzas they were making with their bare hands. Then one of wait staff say me writing the review and said how can you rate us a one star when you haven't even tasted the pizza. Perhaps its because we still hadn't got the pizza over an hour. Really??
If you like the kolache shop around the corner and you like pizza you’ll find a lot to love at Pie Society. Made with the same level of care and with the same caliber of ingredients the pizza here is excellent. I’ve only been a couple of times, but I’ve never been disappointed with the food. The environment is also really comfortable and clean. So far this is my definitive pizza joint in San Marcos.

Omg! Best pizza ever we drove over with my son to see Texas State installation’s and stop here for lunch best decision ever definitely not a regular pizza place. Service is great Definitely recommend
Best pizza in town. Definitely coming back! The crust and the dough is so fresh. Love all the menu options. Great selection of pizzas and cocktails with beers on tap.
Always amazing pizza! My favorites are the 78666 and pyramid, though some of the best are their pies of the day. Had the best one ever, something with Tabasco and ranch in the sauce and I would have absolutely eaten numerous slices of that. This is a must try place for pizza.
The pizza here is amazing. My issue was with what I consider to be rude behavior and policies from the staff.We came in at 9:15 Friday night. They close at 10 so we made sure we ordered right away.It took a while to get our pizza(they were fairly busy...no big deal) so we got our pizza at 9:45. At 9:50 they broke down the soda machine so we had no drinks during our meal. To me that is just rude and very disappointing service. We paid for drinks that we couldn't use.Someone else made a comment about it to the staff and they said "Well we are closed". Pretty flippant to customers who just paid to enjoy their meal. It really ruined our experience and honestly there are so many options for pizza around here.I don't see a reason why we would return to a place that treats customers like a burden.
Outstanding pizza combinations! Fresh ingredients. We had the Balance of Power, and El Diablo! Our faves. The goat cheese and strawberry salad is a must!
