I first left 5 stars for Los Vega when I moved to San Marcos 5 years ago. I still eat here once a week at least.Everything on the menu is good, prices are good, service is great, and you can always call ahead for pick-up.If you're visiting San Marcos to tube the river, you can't go wrong with a morning brunch at Los Vega. If you live here, then you already know what's up.They're also BYOB!

Their chips and salsa and tortilla soup are unparalleled to NONE in San Marcos! I’ve heard of several (ie: Herberts, for example), Chuy’s, etc. but I was blown away at the speed and quality at which the food was ready. Very friendly and helpful staff as well. A++ will be returning shortly

So the first thing I want to say is the coffee is very good. Nothing fancy, just plain, black, very good coffee. I ordered the sausage plate. 2 eggs, sausage patties, beans and potatoes with flour tortillas. Everything was pretty good. My eggs were cooked right. The tortillas were obviously homemade. The service was good. They brought my food out really quickly. The only complaint I have is everything was barely warm. I like to put butter on my tortillas and they weren’t even warm enough to soften the butter. I had to smash it out on the tortilla. Then I got the check. $13.80 something, almost $14. I got a coconut bar and were up to $16.39. I don’t believe in not tipping so add a $3 tip and your talking $20 for cold food is no bueno. Plus the charged me a non-cash fee. I was gonna give them another shot BEFORE I got the check but now I definitely won’t be back.

They don't know how to cook eggs. If you think these eggs are acceptable then you don't know how to cook eggs either. Also, look at the two clumps of bacon they gave me. For the breakfast tacos I got. This was as low as it gets. Ill come back for lunch/dinner. Maybe.

Food was excellent. Service was fast and very nice Definitely recommend!

This place was a welcome surprise to our short San Marcos trip! Had a Pork Chop taco and Barbacoa a la mexicana, while my wife had morning enchiladas and a potato taco. Servings were great and not too outrageous for prices. Left full and satisfied! Service was also great for walking in on a busy Friday. Great little spot.

Dependable local taco joint with animal free options for vegans. I've only ever had their breakfast tacos and they were efficient and good.

If you're in the New Braunfels area and look at Google maps for Mexican restaurants it's a shame that they compare this place to Agave, which I love. As soon as we walked in you could smell there was something funky coming out of the restroom. The service was lagging and the food was subpar. People who are adventurous should go there to see how it shouldn't be done.

The wait staff are friendly and attentive. Pancakes were tough to cut through but had a good flavor. I had never ordered them before and probably won't ever again. Lesson learned: order the French toast. Food was just ok.

The best Breakfast Tacos in this Area. They are filled with Deliciousness. And the Green Hot Sauce is fantastic if you like is a little warms. Great Place. and Fast Service. The BEST in the Area.
