It’s obvious and the trends have been predicting that the “wait staff” oriented restaurants are on their way out ! The interesting observation will be, can restaurants upgrade their quality so that the customer doesn’t feel they are getting a fast food experience. Industry may be the example! We walked in to a great menu that was not over extended (c’mon people, massive menus are stupid). This is often an indicator that the food is made well (not always, but often). We ordered our food and drinks (the selection was amazing) at a counter from a fantastic and well informed staff member. When our food was ready it was brought to our table - beautiful & delicious. Highly recommended
Loved it! Lots of hipster looking places usually charge crazy prices and don’t deliver. This place will make you rethink that! The portions were huge and the flavor was great! Got something simple like the fish and chips and was given a whole fish! The sauce was super good and the fries were crisp! I got a drink to enjoy my selection and they come strong! Strong but not overwhelming!Make it a lunch date and you won’t regret it!
I was in town kayaking the river with some friends and found Industry just driving by.It thankfully wasn't very crowded for a Saturday night and the atmosphere was super nice and laid back.I ordered the smoked chicken tacos and hands down they were the best tacos I've ever eaten and I eat ALOT of tacos!!Good selection of micro brews on tap as well as wine and a wide variety of liquor.The staff was super nice and attentive.I wish I could have stayed there and sampled all the tacos and all the beer!! #nirvanaNext time I'm in San Marcos I'm eating here without question!!
Food was fantastic when we got it. They’re very unorganized servers kept coming to our table with other peoples food. They fix that and it would be fantastic.
Favorite place to celebrate large parties! The staff is friendly and accommodating! We brought in over a hundred people last night and everything ran smooth with great attention to detail! The food was tasty and the drink menu was artful! Private parking just steps away from the restaurant! The open patio is a great way to offer outdoor seating and still feel connected to your guests indoors. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for an easy and fun place to celebrate!
We had lunch here on a recent Saturday; as a bonus there was some ype of music Festival Event happening in the attached area. We sat outside and after ordering inside, enjoyed the music while waiting for our food to arrive. The food was enjoyed by all, I had the chilaquiles and was pleasantly pleased, as they were quite tasty yet somewhat different to any I had even eaten before. Others at our table enjoyed their choices as well. Friendly service, and of course lots of beer on tap and a full bar. Brunch on Sundays and live music on occasion too! Plenty of parking.
Place is really legit, enjoyed some great music today as well as these amazing brunch items. Food is packed with flavors, gravy was like none other and was on point.Honestly, food took the cake, great and timely with a great selection of brunch items. Beside the food the ambiance was great, open air and just perfect place to get brunch in San Marcos.Place was full of energy and the staff all did great to insure our dining experience was a perfect 5!Keep up the great work team Industry!
Great brunch menu.We had the chilaquiles and the brisket fried egg samo, both simply delightful! Also tried the Tatas brava, very tasty. Mimosas are only $2.50 on Sundays!
Industry is fast becoming one of my favorite places in San Marcos. The staff is always super friendly, especially the bartenders. The food items are familiar, but they always put some kind of unique spin on it and 10/10 times it's delicious. Their salmon burger is awesome. The open air space is great to enjoy when the weather is nice. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out.
Pro: A from scratch kitchen that is sourced from a local farm. Flavors were great!Con: The suggested Tipping amounts were not aligned with a venue that lacks Table Service.I liked it, and therefore see the experience as being worthy of 4 stars. If table service was a available and not just someone to run the food to the table from the kitchen, I would likely rate the experience higher. That I needed to get up and wait in line to get a refill, made the suggested Tipping amounts seem out of place. If you want an out of the ordinary experience, this is a good venue. The Industry Burger and Sweet Potato Fries was spot on with fantastic flavors. Everyone at the table thought portions were ample.
