While visiting family we went to Garcias for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. They were very busy and we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, which I took as a good thing considering a busy restaurant is an indication of good food.I was not disappointed, though the guacamole needed salt, there was some on the table. The salsa was good and queso too.I had the beef enchiladas and wes very pleased. The service was fast and friendly and took great care of us.
Stopped in at 8:00 pm on a Thursday. We didn’t get there last minute, figuring they were open for another hour and we were good. As we walked across the parking lot, an employee opened the door and yelled to us that they weren’t seating any more people that night. I know a lot of businesses are short staffed at the moment, and we try to take into account for that, but they need to update their hours. They should list “Open til 9, but Seating Closes at 7.” Disappointed with the lack of truth in advertising and communications. Do NOT expected to be seated in the evening past 5/6pm. Won’t make that mistake again.
Pros: that strawberry margarita HITS. The chips and salsa are delicious. The food comes out very quickly. The staff are so courteousCon: the flautas are under seasoned and they are fairly greasy.Ill still come back and try something new but overall it was delicious!
A salesperson at a store in the Tanger outlet mall in San Marcos recommended this restaurant to my hubby and I. This is an awesome restaurant. We will be stopping at Garcia's the next time we are in the area. The fresh homemade chips and salsa were to die for and you'll want to order their exceptional fajitas!!! Everyone there was so nice. We highly recommend Garcia's!!!
Food is good but service was less than desirable. We were seated in a corner and waited atleast 15mins before the waitress came to even take our drink order. The table next to us (who arrived after we did) already had their drinks and chips at this point... Finally, we were noticed and a gentlemen took our drink order, again. We were given our drinks and then waited for our waitress to return to take our order. Once she took it we waited about another 15+mins for our food. Aside from bad service the food was good but I will not return the next time I'm in town.
We have been going there for years food is great would recommend them to everyone allways consistent on taste great job
Amazing grilled shrimp tacos. On corn tortillas and gluten free! Super nice staff and excellent service.
Horrible experience picking up an order paid 74$ for my enchiladas to taste like water and look like a kids meal , also my chicken fried steak too have NO gravy. The manager tried to refuse remakes and when picking up the remakes was very rude and walking away because she didn’t want to fix the mistake they made !!

New to town, tried several Mexican restaurants. Garcia's has been the best yet! Pickup system is great and time from order to pickup is so fast. Salsa is great too!
