This place is pre-game central. If you hitting the bars, get your pregame drinks here along with their fire wings. The wait staff are awesome (and mighty attractive if I may say). They always be giving attentive service and even the one time my food had an issue they resolved it immediately. The selection is nice, the drink menu is *chefs kiss* magnificent! And don't even get me started on karaoke nights. 50/10, if you need a first date spot. This the place to be!
The epitome of bar food for sure. The brisket sandwich was fair. The brisket wasn't very flavorful, no smoke and very little seasoning. The pulled pork mac and cheese... the pulled pork literally had ZERO seasoning. It's like they just threw the pork in watter and boiled it till it fell apart. The mac n cheese was fair but again very little flavor. The bread on the chicken club sandwich was soggy on the bottom as well.Menu's and a drink/beer list would be great to have at the tables in a seat yourself joint...
The only reason I am giving 5 Stars review is because of an amazing bartender named Amanda! I went to this bar for the first time on a Sunday afternoon and Amanda was the only employee, out of maybe 5, that came up to take our order at a table and she was the bartender! The other servers were hiding off in a corner near the entrance and Amanda’s service was impeccable! She’s friendly and motivated and honestly, the only reason we stayed (while other customers left) and returned!
I really enjoyed this place. The atmosphere is really interesting and the outdoor covered seating was a terrific place to eat an enjoy the street life.Moving onto the food, my quesadilla was absolutely outstanding. Definitely one of the best I’ve ever had as the meat and cheese inside was plentiful and the wrap was actually a little bit on the crunchy side. I will definitely return here again if given the chance.
We ordered a burger and wasn’t asked how we liked it cooked. I guess the only option is very very well done.Sweet potato fries were cold. We asked for another, and it was clearly microwaved and greasy from yesterday. Their regular fries are not much better. I don’t like using the word soggy and limp to describe anything, but fitting here.Brisket was dry and salty; probably from days ago. I don’t see the smoker being used.Service was attentive. Small Parking lot in the back.
Walked in exited to have food and drinks. We watched a group of teenagers / employees huddled around the door on their phones oblivious to people sitting and waiting at a table to be served. Even the bartender left us hanging. After 15 + minutes we gave up, walked out and took our money elsewhere. This place has gone downhill with lack of management and careless teenagers glued to their cell phones. Bummer, we used to love it here.
To start off on a decent note, the food was okay. I had the chicken and waffles, and it was a substantial meal. However, the chicken was beyond dry, and it did not have any sort of seasoning whatsoever. The waffles were mediocre, nothing special.The live music was unbearable. This is not the fault of the musicians, rather the fault of the restaurant. The volume was set so loud that the sound was being distorted. I wore ear plugs the entire time I was inside, and even if I took them out, I still could not hear anyone or anything besides the music.The music shook the floor, and again, was incredibly distorted from the volume.I would not go here again, nor would I recommend it. Terrible experience.
First time trying this fun place. I enjoyed the atmosphere & live music playing. Prices are good & the food was great! Tried the bobcat fries & breakfast burrito with pulled pork. ? only wish my tortilla was heated up.
One of the best food places to visit in downtown San Marcos.It is a bar with good food available for breakfast, lunch and dinner! We had Nachos and French fries and they were delish for less than $15. It was enough for 3 people.The interior is very nice and there is ample seating arrangements including outdoor seating. The staff are super nice and serves fast. Overall a great place to hangout and eat.
I've been here many times and no matter busy or slow the seevice is rarely good. They say seat yourself but almost everytime I'm sitting at a table for 20 mins or more with no service. The food is good but 9 times out of 10 I end up leaving bc no one comes to my table. Horrible service there's more bad experiences I know but I'm tired of typing.
