I love their menu. I have ordered the chicken fried steak, the ham dinner, the meatloaf and other delicious plates and its always so good! I especially like their cornbread. I order take-out so when I go to pick up, I always find something in their gift shop. They get me there too! But i don't mind because they have such cute stuff. During the holidays you can find some great gifts. I love the gift shop and their variety of old time candy. Love my local Cracker Barrel store.
You never know what you're going to get when you go to a new chain restaurant. I've had some pretty terrible Cracker Barrel stores but this one was absolutely excellent. The server was very friendly and attentive and the food was perfect. Everyone in our party walked away happy, full and satisfied.

I already love the food and atmosphere at Cracker Barrel but what sets this one in San Marcos apart is the staff. Every single person is friendly and accommodating. The hostess was kind and easy to communicate with. The manager has a great rapport with the staff and even came over to our table to have a friendly chat. But the absolute highlight was out server Abbirae D. She was the best server I've had in a very long time and really one of the best I've had ever. She's somehow both fast and attentive. I never felt rushed and everything she did was efficient. She was great at communicating with everyone at the table (we have 4 kids ranging from teen to 1st grader). She had a great attitude and was so intuitive. She knew when we needed something before we ever had to ask.Good food and great service. Plus that Cracker Barrel store is always so much fun. Overall it was an excellent experience.
Everything was delicious. The service was outstanding. The atmosphere was comfortable. The restaurant was clean. Couldn't ask for more. Wait, that's not true. I could ask for reasonable prices and they had that too. Haven't been in years, but will be coming back soon.
Fast service even though the restaurant was packed. The food ok but nothing to brag about. Breakfast menu much better.
