The waitstaff is really unfriendly. I waited 15 minutes after being seated before anyone even acknowledged me, and 20 minutes before being able to order. They brought me my dessert to go, but I didn't ask for that. Had every intention of eating it at the restaurant. My bill wasn't showing on the kiosk, so while my dessert melted, I tried to flag down the waitress several times. Pretty bad service.
Love this place! They give croissants as a welcome (instead of bread) - very delicious. Main course is so amazing, most come with two sides. So far I tried shrimps, chicken and ribs. Portions are very good size, I always take left overs to go. Their signature Painkiller is so delicious ?
Loved eating here! I got the Painkiller to eat with the fresh croissants and butter. I loved the creamy sweetness of the drink. The bourbon grilled salmon was to die for! Perfectly cooked! The whole meal had very generous portions and we left full and happy. I will definitely keep Cheddar's on my list.
Good food. Service is always wonderful. Love the complimentary croissants. When we get to go the orders are always accurate. Haven't had one negative experience at any Cheddars, and specifically the San Marcos location. Literally the only chain restaurant worth a dang anymore. Keep it up.
Chain restaurant with an extensive menu. Our server was friendly and attentive. My family was satisfied with what they ordered. One of the two chicken breasts with my order was undercooked to the point of being inedible. For a "scratch kitchen" checking chicken temp before plating should be the rule. No raw chicken should reach the customer. Customer service was good and I'm sure they would have attempted to make good on the error, but I was done after a bite of raw chicken.
Set up for Birthday Club 14 ladies. Great service. Delicious food. Very attentive staff. Big menu variety and huge portions. Reasonably priced. Very clean!
Nice atmosphere, great crowd. One of the best chicken fried steaks I've had & I've had a few. Lot of food for the $$. Iced tea is heaven. Server even slipped croissants in my takeout which I can't possibly eat after that meal. Can't wait for breakfast. Would definitely eat here again.
We were a party if 2 and seated right away. Our waitress was fantastic. I was not impressed with the complimentary buttered rolls, but my husband thought they were fine.We ordered the honey hot chicken tenders and the Monty Cristo, they were both good but nothing to write home about.
Usually a wonderful freshly prepared meal with reasonable prices. This visit was not a good experience for us on this occasion as our food was cold and didn’t look as fresh and plentiful as normally. We ended up getting it togo and then took it home for our chickens. Our Waitress was fast and friendly but it was obvious the staff was short staffed given it was the super bowl.
Our first time at Cheddars. The drinks were cheap and delicious! I got the steak with coconut shrimp. I ordered my steak medium, it came well done and was very chewy. Our Waiter only checked on us twice during our whole visit. The coconut shrimp was good, but theres a $5 extra charge for it (the menu says grilled or coconut shrimp, nothing about an extra $5 for coconut). Also, Our waiter never gave us the crescent rolls.
