Very very nice customer service. Everyone was smiling and welcoming everybody as we entered. Food was Bill Miller type food, nothing fancy, same taste as before.

I’d just like to say thank you to the black guy that “wasn’t doing anything” for letting everyone know I was there to pick up my order. I would’ve been standing there for 10 minutes even though I could clearly see the order was ready.

I ordered a family meal of chicken and a combo BBQ meal with an extra side of Mac with extra jalapeños. I pay drive all the way home only to have gotten the chicken! These people don’t check their orders before sending them out, is that a common practice at this establishment? I called them to tell them about what happened and they said yes it was there that I could go pick it up or get credit for getting another time. Meanwhile my family is sitting down to eat their meal of fried chicken. My only choice is to get back in my car and waste gas to pick up the meal I should have gotten the first time! So I went back got my bag that was somehow overlooked and go back home, mind you I had called and they were aware I was going back upset for their mistake, and this time they still forgot the mac and cheese. You’d figure they would have checked the bag after I had called!!! This is the worst customer service I’ve ever had from any establishment. They have definitely lost me and my family as customers. I Highly don’t recommend this location in San Marcos.

I miss the fried chicken, so while in San Antonio I bought a family order to bring back home to Midlothian. Also picked up a dozen Carne Guisada tacos as there aren't many places in North Texas to get them.

As always Bill Miller is Great. Only get to visit a BM once in a blue moon since they are not in North Texas. Food was good and the person that have working the dining area was so Friendly!

Big breakfast plate was delicious. Scrambled eggs with hash browns, refried beans , choice of sausage or bacon , and choice of tortillas or biscuit. We dined at the location in San Marcos. Mr. Curtis was delivering orders and cleaning up the dining room. His customer service just made our Sunday morning so much better. He brought our food out and kept our drinks filled. He was probably the oldest member of the morning crew but he loves what he does. Totally awesome food and service. Say hello to Curtis.

I stopped in at Bill Miller Bar-B-Q in San Marcos for lunch. The service was friendly and helpful, but the barbecue brisket was mediocre at best. This is the third time I have eaten at one of the restaurants of the Bill Miller chain over a two decade period; it is not my idea of excellent Texas barbecue.

Brisket was chunks of fat, barely any meat sitting in a pool of liquid like a stew. It was not barbecue sauce. Pinto beans were bland. Mac and Cheese was gooey but not in a good way. Fries were old and barely warm. Only the sausage was good. Tea was good. Not going back to this location. $20 was too much to pay for this sad meal.

Just an overall bad experience. Entering through the back, it looked like self service was the only option. It was really hard to navigate the menu. Then we were told to wait up front and someone else was wandering around with our food. Taco was cold, breakfast bowl was ok. Overall just an awkward and confusing setup and food wasn't that good.

Service was great and the sides were good. Was not impressed with the brisket.
