Man I used to love this place but I have no clue what happened. I genuinely wouldn't bother ordering from them at night, they tend to just close whenever they feel like it, odds are you are just going to wait an hour for nothing. Even when orders do show up, they are almost always wrong as of late, or are 90% fat that is impossible to chew. RIP AJ's, you used to be great :(
I ordered through uber eats and half my order was missing and incorrect. Then I tried to call the restaurant and it just goes straight to a voicemail mailbox thats full. The brisket is bland, the ribs are tough as shoes and the only thing I'm able to say is good is the sausage. I'm upset and won't be ordering again. First and last time.
This place is sooooo good!!! I got to meet the owner himself on my 1st visit and he was so cool. The Texas tots are a MUST and the jalapeno ranch is on point. The brisket is tender and I can't say enough good things about this place. This is going to be a staple for me from now on. Thanks AJ!!!!!!!

I just came from there to pick up an order. I was thirsty for something to drink. I'm pretty picky about my sweet tea. I should of just gone with my first instinct and gotten a Dr. Pepper instead. The sweet tea was not all that good. It made me feel nausea to my stomach. But I still haven't had the BBQ yet. I heard it is pretty good. My sister said their brisket quesadilla is really good.
The smallest taco you've ever seen mixed with the highest fat to meat ratio you've ever seen. Really, it was something to behold. Have also never ordered from a BBQ place that doesn't give sauce with a BBQ plate. Unique experience all around.

Don't be fooled by the nondescript location in the corner of a strip center this place has big flavorThe Stoner Mac has the perfect blend of mac and cheese/pulled pork and the brisket grilled cheese sandwich was outstanding.Make this a stop when you are in San Marcos
