My second most favorite sandwich deli in San Antonio. Firstly the architecture of the building is very very impressive for a deli. The deliciousness of WD will blow you away. Every person I have introduced to this place have all retuned which says a lot. Each sandwich is made with such perfection that there is nothing you can absolutely complain about. One of the only places I know that makes a fried bologna sandwich to die for. The Italian and Cuban are made with a lot of love. Please visit this deli restaurant. You will certainly be satisfied! Highly highly recommended!
This was one of the worst sandwiches I’ve had in a while. We wanted the Turkey Supreme, but they didn’t have focaccia bread. We shared the Southwest Roast Beef with chips and pasta salad. The first bite I took I spit out into a napkin. That bite of roast beef was mostly fat. Thankfully, there wasn’t an appreciable amount of fatty roast beef on the sandwich because the quantity of meat amounted to about three deli slices. For $10 I want to be able to detect the meat in a sandwich. For some reason they put mushrooms on the sandwich, which was just weird. The sandwich was just bad and I limited myself to the chips and pasta. I wouldn’t go back.
We stopped by here during a short trip to San Antonio. It was a great experience. I got a tuna sandwich with mac and cheese soup. My husband got an egg salad sandwich with tomato soup and our daughter got a kids grilled cheese. Before we left, everyone got cookies. We all loved our food. The customer service was excellent and there was plenty of seating inside the restaurant. Also, parking was easy as well. We noticed some places that were difficult to get into in the area. This is an awesome place with plenty of delicious food options with super nice and hard working employees. We are so glad we stopped and will definitely go again on our next trip to SA!

Great sandwiches, cookies are awesome, ambiance is cool and staff is always friendly. Great spot for a break and tasty food. Try the Ranger cookie and the fried bologna sandwich.
Loved the Mac and cheese soup! Super great vibe and not too pricey either.
I have been going to WD deli for quite some time now (+4years) and its by far one of my favorite local places for lunch! My absolute favorite is the Caesar salad with chicken AND their coconut cookie/ lemon gooey bar. I know like most local places they are currently doing the best with what they got post pandemic(i.e short staffed) but they are managing the best! I know like most places can have their off days but the quality of the food wins me over every time! To management and staff, keep up the good work!
Had the turkey avocado wrap, very tasty. Ordered online, wrap was ready quickly. Recommend.
