Great food and great service. I love the location on South cross. Parking is better and it seems we always have good service. At the other location we was a gamble if we were going to get good service or not. And I understand that Southcross is not as busy but even the day before Mother's day when they were busy prepping for brunch for the next day the waitress communicated with us and we had a great meal. Alot of times there is only 1 person covering all the tables on Southcross but yet we still get great service
This place is an absolute hidden gem. The Sunday brunch buffet is fantastic annnnnnnd it’s the only buffet I know of that let’s you take a to-go plate with no extra charge! The live jazz music is great and isn’t over the top so you can carry a conversation without screaming. The service is great and everyone is so happy and friendly. Love this place.
this place is fire fire fire.... no comparison period.
This place has become a standard for us by which we compare all other southern/soup food. The grits, collard greens, and smothered pork chop art my favorites so far, but everything I've tasted here had been stellar. The staff is kind and happy. The drinks are made with a good amount of liquor in them, no weak pours here. Sunday Brunch is a great way to try everything with great music and chill yet colorful atmosphere. Thankfully, Tony G's is much easier to find parking for than the one on Hackberry. Love the place. making plans for a return trip now for breakfast and another one when my parents visit. A++
Very good! Between the three of us we had chicken and waffles, fried chicken with mashed potatoes and okra with tomatoes, and shrimp poor boy. Forgot to snap a pics so you have to go on person to check it out!Nice clean crisp atmosphere too ?
Went to lunch with my mom today. She had the smothered pork chop with green beans and mashed potatoes and a tall glass of ice cold unsweet tea. I had the oxtails with collard greens and mashed potatoes, also a tall glass of ice tea. The staff is very friendly. The food is amazing!!! I was also told on Sundays they have a buffet for $25. From the experience I had today $25 does not sound too bad if I can try a little bit of everything.
Flavor: CService: BTea: BSolo dining: AWe were excited to try this place but were not overly impressed. The catfish is bland and just a single piece. The tartar sauce is in packets. The macaroni and cheese is not creamy or flavorful. The black eyed peas tasted great but are nearly mush instead of whole peas. The yams were the best thing I had. Overall the meal was fine but there's got to be better soul food in this town.
Everything was great we had Baked Chicken Smothered Pork Chop green beans sweet potatoes...
Excellent food I am going back and trying everything
I want to give a great thank you to Manager Tina. She made sure our visit to Tony G's on Southcross was nothing but the best. Her initiative to accommodate us was so incredible as she saw an issue and fixed it immediately without hesitation. Food was on point and we will be back. I hope the owners realize she is a great asset to their establishment.
