I love T-cloud, whenever I leave the Austin/SA area I end up jonesing bad for a chicken salad sammy or one of their amazing clubs. The parking at this location isn't great but there's an easy work around if you go just past the tiny triangle of rage that's outside the doors here. Staff is great, laid back pros that'll crack a joke while gettin you situated for a tasty treat
1st time here. I let the friendly sandwich artist know that. He recommended the California club as the most popular one, along with the New York Italian, but I went with my gut and proceeded to order the club as a safe way into the thunderclouds! I included the potato salad along with a small drink. I must say, that was the BEST potato salad I'd ever eaten! DEFINITIVELY COMING BACKKKKKKK!!
ThunderCloud Subs reminds me of some of my favorite sub shops from NJ. Tried the Texas Tuna on my inaugural visit and I was pleasantly surprised, the tuna was high quality, tasty, not complicated (no overdone tuna salad that's loaded with extras). Great sub. My wife enjoyed her Austin Club as well. Ordering online was easy and it felt like I could tweak everything about the sandwiches. PLENTY of options, friendly staff, good food, can't ask for much more!
I had the roast beef, swiss and avocado. Excellent cold sub. Don't forget the Thunder Sauce. The sweet tea was made perfect as well. Not too sweet just the right amount of sugar. I will be back.

My first time at Thundercloud Subs. When I walked in the aroma indicated this would be a good experience. Wes was very helpful and friendly. I chose the 10” N.Y.Italian on whole wheat with standard toppings, sweet peppers, provolone, spicy mustard and mayo, vinegar & oil, salt and pepper. The good news is, it was great! The bad news, I couldn’t finish it. I got the combo with potato chips and a Big Red fountain drink. The Big Red was tasty, not flat like so many other places.**I have found my go to for Subs.**Parking might be crowded because of the Star$$ coffee shop next door, so my solution is to park behind the building in the HEB parking lot. ~:)
They're one of the best sub shops ever. I rank them higher than Subway. Their Egg, Chicken and Tuna Salads are perfect. Now, the building is small and they have outdoor seating. However, they always have great service and the food is always fresh. I highly recommend you give them a try, they will not disappoint!

This place is the gold standard of sub shops, and I love my subs. The freshness of the ingredients in each bite smacks you with deliciousness in the mouth. On a side note, their pastrami is excellent (maybe only second to Katz’s deli In NYC). Also have to mention the staff, they are super friendly and always nice to interact with.
