Nice dancehall tends to bring an older crowd. They have a nice patio on the outside. Only thing is the bald guy that charges cover is a total simp. If you’re a good looking girl he won’t charge a cover. Check the cams. Tell me I’m wrong
Patrons beware. The Thirsty Horse Saloon (TH) here in San Antonio, TX, is overcharging some customers without anyone knowing it until they look at the bank statement or credit card statement. I was there with a big group on Thursday June 9th and 2 of my friends were charged, per their bank/credit card statements, an amount different than what they approved of when closing out their tab. I will present the proof as I had requested from my friends. My friend Frank, from Phoenix, call and spoke to Ricky, who happens to be in management told my friend that he is aware it and knows that it happens. Reason per Rickey=> Many customers run a large tab and at the end of the night are unable to pay their tab. The TH compensates this by overcharging other customers in order to recoup the losses. This is deceptive and poor practice not to mention, theft.Do not let this practice continue. Everyone must compare their approved payment and compare with their respective bank or credit card transaction list. Nice place to visit but not at the expense of getting ripped off.
This place is huge! Starting with the Thirsty Horse Saloon main stage and dance hall! As you transition into the next room, you find yourself in "Ricky Bobby's Sports Bar" with TV screens everywhere, you can watch every game at once, or just chill and knock some balls around and they included multi table pool hall. And then it's all over once you find the doors to the outdoor deck venue with liveusic Stage 2, rockin out, for the party outdoor, with plenty of room to dance plenty of room to sit with tables, and a huge full bar, right in the middle of it all! You have pic-nic tables on one side and a relaxing lounge area to chill in on the other, so leave your stress and baggage outside the front door.Dress to impress, proper dress code is observed...

Great place but the details should not read no cover as there is a cover. With that being said, it was only $5 and that is cheap for a place this nice. Easily the cleanest bar I’ve seen in San Antonio with great music, friendly bartenders and great prices on drinks! Large quiet back bar with pool and darts.

Our go to place for coutry dancing. Better than wild west and cowboys. The bartenders in the back by the stage are the go to bars. But cant go wrong. Bands are live and popping. Security keeps you safe and they keep things as clean as can be. Plus have late night snacks.
We did the free dance lessons at 7 and stayed until 11:30. Had fun with family, all middle aged. Music was constant fast, so would like to have had some inbetween slow songs. I would go again but leave by 10:30. The younger crowd floods the bar by then, shoulder to shoulder. ?
Had a blast. Good mix of people. Great atmosphere. A little crowded around the bars and hard to find a table unless you reserve one. A fun place to go out with friends. Would definitely go back.
