When I rate, I am a little generous, but I take everything into consideration such as, the ambiance, service, cleanliness, food quality and drinks, etc AND the location. So, I’m rating it a 4 star bc of the nice view, drinks, the server and comparing it to other places nearby.It's on the 20th floor of Hotel Thompson. Very nice view and lively atmosphere! We had dinner reservations with friends who moved to San Antonio. We got caught up with talking and I wish someone had reminded us that our table was ready. Unless our friends did not reserve a table. By the time we caught up and sat at the table, the server told us the kitchen was closed. We were like WHAT!!! He was kind enough to serve some cold appetizers he could get his hands on. That was nice but annoying bc we were starving at this point.There was no dress code which is a plus but then does drop the standard as well. It was one of my favorite places while in SA ?
Views were worth it!Don’t suggest wearing something not conducive to wind. ?Octopus skewers + Meat & Cheese + potato Gnocchi + braised lamb harissa + lots of yummy drinkies. Not sad about any of it.:)Absolutely loved it and will be back to order off the non appetizer menu next time!!

I am disappointed in this establishment! The drink I ordered from the menu was not good at all. But the Tequila Sunrise was much better. My friend ordered chips and dip. She was not pleased due to the fact that it was kettle chips and sour cream and onion dips?. The view is honestly the only thing I actually like. But be cautious you are 20 floors up it can be windy. But despite all these things I wanted to go back and give it another chance. Just incase we came on a bad night. But I don’t think I will now. I had a pending charge of $46.55 which was correct. But once that charge updated with the tip it was $194.85! I immediately called soon as they opened up. I spoke with the manager I gave him all the info he needed because I still had my original receipt. He told me to Give him a few minutes and he would call back. He did call back but only to confirm there was a $40 difference. I told him that is incorrect there is a $140 difference with the actual tip included. He apologized and stated he would call me back in a few minutes. I NEVER received a call back. I even called and left a message. Now I’m very upset because this unacceptable. This is fraud at this point because that is not the tip amount I put. Update: I was contacted by the manager and he gave me a full refund. I’m not sure nor was he on how the over charge happen. But we finally got it resolved.
A date night must. So worth the ambience alone! Drinks were spot on. Bar master can make anything you ask for! Food was also amazing! Appetizers are big enough to share and please do not skip dessert...that gelato cherry amaretto ice cream will keep me coming back for years. Servers very professional and knowledgeable.
The food was top notch, the drinks were the best, and the view is absolutely perfect! Even more, Jayden, our server, was absolutely amazing and made us want to come back 2 days later just for the fun and experience! This place is the place to be at when coming to San Antonio and this New Yorker will be there every time I’m in town.
If you are looking a spot for a romantic sunset view, this is the place! Reservation is STRONGLY encouraged and ensure to book at least 24hrs in advance! Especially if you are visiting during the weekend. The patio is lovely but it can be excruciating hot during the summer. The menu is simple but pricey (including cocktails). The view of San Antonio is gorgeous! Servers are attentive and friendly. The ambience is trendy and sophisticated!Check them out for yourself!!
So reservations were easy to make online. They have a steep charge for no-shows, so make sure you go or call ahead to cancel.We arrived at the hotel like 15 mins early (7pm resv) parked in a nearby parking lot - $10 and took the elevator to the 20th floor. We waited about 10 mins until we were seated. We were offered indoor or outdoor seating. We chose outdoor. It was easy to make a reservation and we showed up 10 minutes early and got seated right away with option of outside or inside and even told it is windy fyi. Outside is perfection 20th floor view. Our waitress wasnt as attentive as we wished. Especially in comparison to the other waiters. At one point we werent ecen sure she put in our main dish and had to ask her if it would be out soon. We enjoyed our drinks and appetizers. But the lamb shank was disappointing so much flavor in the other food items that presentation and bland made me very sad. It tasted like if you made baked beans but witout brown sugar. BUT I will say the customer service was exceptional. A gentleman came up yo us to apologize that we didnt like the lamb shank and even brought the cheif over to ask us how he could have done better. If we come back to San Antonio and need a resturant we will definitely come back.
