This is by far the best little diner I have ever been too. First of all the environment that this diner has is something out of the 80s. What I mean is they are not trying to be a diner from the 80's I'd just so happens to feel that way. The staff cook your breakfast or meal almost right in front of you and you can see everything they are cooking, which is very interesting. I couldn't stop watching then cook. Everything about the food they make is fresh. They get their ingredients from local stores around the area. Instead of huge truck dropping off commercial ingredients that have been frozen for days. And while the staff is cooking they keep conversations with you to make sure your having a great experience. I got the pancake plate- it came with 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, hash browns, bacon and sausage. I can tell you that I have had alot of breakfast in my days but this was by far the most flavorful. After eating the food I felt full and but not over full. Not sure if you know what I mean. Overall it was a great experience. Loved it.
One of our favorite breakfast joints. Old-school diner with great basic breakfasts, chicken & waffles, omelets, tacos, etc. My wife loves the French Toast. Coffee is good. Family-owned. Staff has always been friendly and service pretty efficient. It's small, so it can fill up, but there's a counter with several seats and a few tables outside. If you want a good neighborhood place for breakfast, I recommend it.
It was a win for this family. The food was great tasting and at a very reasonable price. The staff was super friendly and courteous. Definitely recommend.My only regret is that I didnt get the chicken and waffles.

First time here..orders we're Chicken and Waffles and sausage omelette. Made fresh and hot. Coffee was good. Very friendly staff. Good place when they're not busy.
A perfect place for an early morning pick me up. Great food, great service and great atmosphere in a little hole in the wall spot. If I'm in San Antonio again I'm going here for my morning coffee and breakfast.
Definitely a Hut! Ladies are very sweet, worked hard to get the orders out as fast as possible. Food was good but need work, served hot coco in a paper cut when glass mugs were available, didn’t use any seasoning on anything, I’ve never seen bacon fried in a deep fryer until now, served me hot sauce from another customer table after they used it with the same spoon and all, not once seen anyone wash their hands, place need cleaning My omelette has all the vegetables on the side, only reason my meat was warm was because the eggs were fresh off the grill. Overall it can be better ?
Small and quaint. the chatter of the guests and the sound of the grill sizzling. The owners...hands on. Extremely comfortable feeling. I had the spaghetti special. The pasta was boiled al dente, and was perfect. The marinara sauce was perfect. Two big meatballs on top, and a slice of Tx Toast toasted to perfection. My wife had the chicken fried sandwich. All I have to say is the chain restaurants bickering back and forth about whi has the best CFS should be thankfuk The Hut doesn't challenge them. However, I challenge you to try it and be the judge. I have only ever recommended 2 restaurants in the past. The Hut is now the third. God bless their business with optimal success.
We absolutely love this place - been going a cpl times a month for a couple years. The food is simply delicious. There's something on the menu for everyone - even the kids.
Food was outstanding! Service was friendly and fast. I recommend eating here for breakfast.
