Decided to try something different this Good Friday. We had Fish Tacos and Supreme Pizza (requested no meat). Food and Service was good. Even better with Drinks.
Wish I could have enjoyed myself but their tip jar prank was out of line. Try serving your customers instead of humiliating them.
Tangy BBQ and Lemon Pepper wings are AMAZING. They are juicy and flavorful. The staff is pleasant, fast, and attentive. Pizza and Mozz Sticks are delicious but there is something about the wings that I just have to get one more time before I leave Texas.Oh and I got the Cucumber Melon Martini and O-M-G the bartender hit it perfectly. So remember, wings n cucumber martinis!!!!
Bartender/server was good and a nice guy. However, I was recommended a $20 entree to which I ordered. My girlfriend ordered a regular menu item. My food was missing the cream sauce that was the supposed staple of the dish. My girlfriend ordered her entree for the cornbread specifically, which we learned they would have to cook after she received our food. Laziness. Not only were pertinent items missing from our order, my salmon was raw and lukewarm on the inside. Nothing but much inside seared edges, no flake. Disgusting. I wouldn’t feed this to my dog. A new chef is needed badly. This is coming from a Sous-chef, I can promise you this place is disgusting and frankly unsafe to consume. I sent my plate back, a refund was offered but not another entree. So I left hungry, and my girlfriends entree was said to have received a “little discount”, even though she didn’t get what she ordered at all. Don’t go here.
Sonya Moon provided live music. The Old Fashioned was great with lots of Woodford Reserve. Michelle and Mari kept drinks flowing. We really enjoyed our time there. They close at 2:00 on the weekends.
I'm a nurse at the metropolitan hospital we had a patient come in by the name of Luis Garcia I recall he was telling us about this restaurant called the gavel. Me and my husband came in yesterday and had a great dinner service. I highly recommend this place.
Great scenery and the bartenders were very nice and made the drinks to perfection. Also had some live music the singer was great!
I had an opportunity to dine at The Gavel, earlier this week. My friends were staying at the hotel on the Riverwalk, so we decided to stay close. I am so glad we did. The food was amazing!!! Chef Luis & Chef Hugo went above and beyond to ensure that our meals were cooked to perfection. The drinks were exquisite. Cass, our bartender was excellent. Perfect customer service. The entire staff should be recognized for a job well done! I will be going back.
I had a great experience at the bar with Michelle and Mari definitely a Friday spot for a good time and my espresso martini was delicious!
1st Time here at The Gavel, celebrating New Years Eve The Host/Manager was Incredible he had New Years Eve Party favorites, decorated the place nicely, he had free finger foods, and his Entertainment was amazing with Sonya Moon & MC Kimbo
