We just got back from this place. The only reason we ate here is because I was trying to find Pinkerton's by sight (did not know the name but had walked by and seen their restaurant once before). I could not be more disgusted. Not only the food is disgusting, but the atmosphere, too. To call this place a tourist trap would be too generous. That term usually implies high prices. The prices were indeed high for what they were serving. This MUST be the worst brisket in Texas. To pay $25 for meat that disgusting with Pinkerton's a couple of blocks away is the height of insanity. DO NOT EAT HERE. I can promise you will regret it.It was our server who told me the name of Pinkerton's. So we walked over there after leaving The County Line. I was so upset that we were that close. I explained to Pinkerton's staff what happened and asked them for a taste of their brisket. It was mouth-watering delicious. And it is such a nice place. That is what I remember, their upscale clientele and beautiful lawn out front. At least now we learned where to eat downtown.

This is a BBQ restaurant located on the River Walk, so has a great location. We had the brisket tacos, pulled pork plate, and sausage plate. The sausage was good and the lighter serving was plenty.

This place wasn’t the greatest but not the worst either. Typical tourist BBQ. Place appearance was a bit to rustic for me, dingy, could use a bit of cleaning especially when I went to the bathroom. Thank goodness I’m a man, I could stand up and not look down. Food was ok, collard greens could use flavor. There was a kerfuffle with my family members because of seating. The young woman placed us all the way to the back in a near empty place and it was unsatisfactory because it was wet back there, they asked for a better area, which we were placed in front of the bathrooms which was a real turn off. Although there was a fuss we still stayed but safe to say, we’ll not be back

Service was great. Collard greens were tough. Brisket was dry, and this the was second cut. I hate to think what the lean cut was like. The sausage was above average. The Mac and cheese was not my Grandma’s, but was above average. If you are in a hurry for bbq, stop by. If not-keep going.

We stopped in for dinner during the week. The food was good, the prices were reasonable and the service was great! Will definitely go again!

Not a fan - had much better BBQ at other BBQ places. Wasn't a fan of the cole slaw in how it was chopped in large bits instead of stringy like typical cole slaw. The serving size was good, the turkey was large enough to come out of the bun, but really no taste as the bbq sauce was just average.

Sadly this was a total disaster of a meal. The service was fine, the food not so. I had the rib dinner and while it looked good it was horrible. The ribs were fatty, not cooked properly, zero seasoning, basically a really bad rack of ribs. The beans like the ribs were flavorless, no seasoning, and the cole slaw followed suit, zero seasoning. If this place considers itself to be a BBQ spot, clearly they don’t taste their own food and clearly need an actual chef who knows how to handle BBQ properly.

One of the several many choices for a meal along the Riverwalk in San Antonio, but well worth choosing over most of the others. The County Line is a chain of 7 restaurants across Texas and New Mexico. Their primary faire is BBQ and they know what they are doing. Can’t say as much for some of the other tourist trap eateries along the river. The environment is rustic, but clean, the prices reasonable and the service is great. I had the pulled pork with potato salad and coleslaw. My wife had the turkey sandwich. All scored high with us, which is a compliment as we have dined in 50 states and 8 countries. A definite new entry on our list of favorites.

This place was great! The 5 meat BBQ sampler was ace! The pepper-crusted turkey was very good, brisket fall-apart delicious and the BBQ sauce with an orange flavor was amazing! Plentiful and quick drink service, and a nice shady spot makes this an amazing RiverWalk choice!

The food and service were amazing. First trip to San Antonio. I would definitely come back.
